Nice terrain. Markers could be more prominent for runners trying to watch their step.

Dog friendly and family friendly - 3 main trails but plenty of other for exploring. Excellent Boston skyline views! A couple swamps and ponds too.

Not moderate. Very easy. Like the buggiest nature walk of all time

So. Many. Bugs.

Went for a run here on 7/29/19 around 6pm. The trails were very nice and well-marked but the bugs were crazy. I mean like an unreasonable amount of bugs. It was miserable. We had plenty of bug spray but it didn’t phase them. As soon as we took off from the trail head there was a constant swarm of hundreds of mosquitos, gnats, and flies. I would not recommend this trail this time of year.

Loved this loop. Saw two garter snakes and enjoyed the views of Boston from some of the summits! Great trail, lots of chipmunks.

Nice trail, well marked.be advised there is a small parking fee. but we'll worth the trip.

Went on a REI experience full moon hike and saw the strawberry moon rise. Beautiful views of Bogs, Meadows and Downtown Boston. Would love to visit again.

did this hike June 1st, 2019. make sure you bring bug spray, the mosquitos are insane at this time of year. Trail is marked well at the beginning and in the North-West quadrants, but really easy to get lost/veer off path in the Southern paths. But a very pretty hike - we always enjoy the view at the solstice stones, and the rolling plains of grass scattered along the paths.

Low rating now omg because it is tick season and they were ALL OVER MY DOG even though she stayed on trail! (None on me). Really nice in early spring but right now I would not recommend. Better safe than sorry!

Beautiful hike with a little bit of everything; history, teaming with flora and fauna. I can’t wait to bring my kids out.

Quality day hiking location in Essex county.

This was a fun trail, went with 8yr and 5 yr old. Plenty of places to stop and break, enjoy the view. Loved it. Highly recommend with kids.

very nice for cardio

Still a little muddy in spots, but all in all pretty great conditions for the beginning of April. Also they have done some great work maintenance wise on the trails over the winter.

A beautiful moderate hike with the dog. At the top of Boston Ski Hill sit two wooden beach chairs that overlook Holt Hill and much of the Reservation itself. Off to your left the Boston skyline is visible.

The Spring thaw makes for some real slippery hiking in some spots! Great place to grab Fido and hit the trails!

Great first mud hike of the season. 2 adults and 4 kids, we did the red loop 3+ mile trail. Only had to change one diaper, but it was a big one. I write these things so I remember the hike.

Always a good hike. One of my favorites in the area.

Me and my dog loved the place !

Loved it!!
