Some of the views on this hike were absolutely breathtaking, overlooking the valley from high above. I highly urge you to continue past the peak to the end of the trails where you can find the ruins of an old hotel called the Eyrie House. There, an accessible (though fenced off) watchtower offers a really good view. The watchtower behind Goat Peak's viewpoint is even better though, so at least make sure to find that.

Ledges and more ledges! Not a trail to be taken by those uncomfortable with heights or during very wet weather! Today was dry and overcast, so the conditions were fine along with the views. Basically all of your elevation occurs in the first half-mile and then you walk the ridge edge to the summit - which is a bit disappointing due to the aging communications buildings. But plenty of ledge areas the whole way to sit and enjoy! Just a note on trail naming - if you walk up to the sign junction about 0.1m in , you’ll find you are at the Quarry Trail and the “New England Trail” (new sign) with NO MENTION of either M-M Trail or Mt. Tom (??). It certainly made me wonder where I was - but no fear, head uphill to the right and you are headed to Mt. Tom.

Beautiful trail, much of it along the ridge with beautiful sweeping views of Easthampton and the valley. Some parts not recommended for people with fear of heights! Though some alternate trails offer alternates to the cliff edge segments.

I had a major itch to hike Mt. Tom Friday afternoon. It was the first 80F/27C with 50% humidity day here in western Massachusetts. My wife and I did the Metacomet-Monadnock (Quarry) Trail. The trail revealed some excellent scenic views and we were able to hike along the cliff edges, which was entertaining. Overall, one of my favorite trails in New England.

Hiked this dog friendly trail on April 25th. Nice out-and-back distance with hood views and elevation change. Included the short hike down to the B17 memorial, off the access road paralleling the Kay Bee. All around good trip.

Well marked. A nice easy out and back.

Fun hike. Beginning half is nice and easy. Second half is a bit more rocky along the cliff side. We followed this trail exactly and the distance is closer to 7.5 miles. Way down is much quicker

Enjoyable hike with fantastic views. Some climbing involved. Not the Quarry Trail, though, according to the Mt. Tom Reservation map. You're on the M&M trail the whole time.

A little icy and muddy to be expected. Make sure to have some spikes and your good to go. I think bringing kids would be manageable but certain paths can be more steep(red marked) that I took. Highly enjoyed what I did get to explore.

Nice easy trail, even with some areas of snow and ice! In the summer, I bet this would be a delight. The lake is frozen over, so it offered a unique view.
