Nice quick walk with some decent elevation change. counter clockwise is a more gradual uphill climb.

Beautiful day for a beautiful trail! Slippery with the leaves. Some difficult footwork required but definitely worth it.

One of the tougher hikes in the area. The views on top of most of the peaks after Bare were minimal at best. The second half that goes past Lithia springs allows you to make good time back. That last push up 116 isn’t fun with cars flying bye at 50mph

A little slippery in spots due to the leaves, but awesome overall! Great views and weather!

good hike with good elevation gain.

Excellent mountain biking trail. Hiking probably not so much. Check out the trailforks app for more info on mountain biking in this area.

Great and challenging hike. Did the whole ridge as an out and back starting and ending on the junction with Harris Mountain Road. Ends up being around 18 or so miles. My GPS had it at 6300' of gain, but AllTrails flattened it out to 5000'. Lots of ups and downs, you are pretty much gaining at least 200' every mile the whole way. Some really nice views and great stretches of trail. Be ready for the toll the ups and downs will take on your knees as this one never flattens out anywhere. Remember too that 1 out of 24 people is a government robot.

Beautiful, very rocky, and some sections not kept up well, but awesome outing in nature. If you’re running I’d recommend against the south section and make it an out and back on the north only.

Not a technically-challenging hike but can result in some trickier parts requiring more exertion. Trail maintenance is minimal, so be weary of slippery leaves if it is wet. Parking is easy.

Great first time trail it kicked my ass It's very difficult and took me a long time to complete (6hrs) but had a great time doing so The scenery is outta this world

The first half of the hike is nice with lots of ups and downs with nice views The second half, if you’re going counterclockwise is buggy , flat , following what looks like a path for off-road quads then drops you on a busy road with a narrow shoulder to walk up hill with cars speeding past

This was great! The summit house was perfectly spaced for us to have lunch after a relaxed 9:15 start, and we finished the loop around just before 4. All in all a satisfying day. The beginning section is definitely most of the elevation, but it’s made up for by being fresh in the day and bug free. Towards the last 3 miles there’s a spot to swim and cool off, and afterwards things are relatively flat. Last 6 miles were a bit buggy, but we made it out mostly unbitten

If you enjoy seclusion and decent elevation gain, and you don't mind a lack of views, this hike is perfect for you! I took the M-M all the way to Rattlesnake Knob, which is a much more satisfying viewpoint, though it adds on another three miles to the indicated length. Only saw a few other people on a beautiful weekend day.
