This trail is practically non existent. Using gps we finally arrived between the two ponds only to find high water and we decided not to take boots and socks off to wade through. I do not recommend this trail.

What an Amazon experience! The trail is amazing. Mostly flat. However, there are a few stairs to climb. The view was amazing. Feeding the birds was hands down our favourite!

We loved it!

very nice trail

very nice views, but would have loved if it would have been dog-friendly

We did this today nice rolling hills and views of sand dune shrubs

Pretty trail! make sure to wear mosquito repellant!

This would have been 4*.....but big signs... NO PETS/DOGS! Found only by seeking "dog friendly"

A beautiful trail but watch out for skeeters. one of our favorite short trails on the cape.

I love this little Trail full of History. I'm a decendant of over four pilgrims, so it it's kind of nostalgic in a way to walk these Trails thinking of my ancestors. Thank God they came here in November and didn't have to deal with the bugs. lol

I chose this trail for a morning dog walk/birding outing. It was a bit confusing at first because there is nothing saying "Old King's trail", but I quickly realized that it's now called "Head of the Meadow Bike Trail". It's paved and leads to Pilgrim Heights. At the far end there is a sand road leading to the beach, so you could make a loop back to the parking lot by walking the beach back. Contrary to the description, it goes through coastal scrub forest all the way. There is no river! Nice forest but a bit monotonous.

great quick trail, watch out for Poison ivy in places. Especially like the memorial stone for the Pilgrims spring it must have been great to have fresh water after so long at sea.

A nice wooded trail with some interesting vegetation.

This is an easy trail - easy to follow. Has some wooded areas, and beautiful water views.

A nice short and easy hike that takes one up and down several small rolling sandhills, this trail takes one through the pitch pine and scrub oak Cape Cod forests, at which point one comes to an opening before turning right and hiking down a hill toward the infamous Pilgrim Spring. Now just a fraction of what it may have been like back in 1620 C.E. the spring still flows into a small, slow-moving creek passing under the nearby Truro Bicycle Trail [ paved]. Note: bring plenty of mosquito repellent during the summer months, I prefer eucalyptus repellent which works just as well as that stinking Deet junk.

The trails at the shores were ok. Well kept and there many places to rent bikes. Our family also visited all the National Seashore beaches and visited a two light houses. I think it was more tailored to tourists than a place to get away. Driving to many places on the seashore we noticed a lot of businesses kind of run down? The reason I think no more than three stars is I was looking deeper into the enviroment. I noticed the destruction of many decades of deforesting that caused huge sand dunes caused by man. Bottom line over rated. Sorry, but this was what my daughter and I had viewed. In no means I believe this is a bad place. I think everyone should get over there and enjoy the outdoors.

I love the bike trails! You can rent bikes cheap in town and bike away to all the trails and stop at the beautiful beaches. The trail is somewhat easy considering I'm not a biker and I just do it for fun. There are areas of shade and make sure you bring a bottle of water! It's worth it! I def recommend this trail! You can also stop at the tourist info center in the middle of the trail to use the bathroom if that's the case!

A nice mostly level walk through a beech forest with brackish swamp areas (level of water depending on recent rainfall). In many spots, the trail is soft sand, so it can be a nice workout.
At the beginning of the trail is a wood walkway where chickadees have come to expect walkers to bring sunflower seeds - the birds will come to your hand to take the seed.

Beautiful! I do not recommend it in the heat if you are hiking or biking. Pick your season. I have hiked it, biked it and rode horseback. Also did a lot of swimming in the warmer months. Cape Cod is a place of charm and beauty, quaint and busy, old and new.

The Cape is a mess to access in the summer time, but worth the effort. The seashore, towns, villages and shore scenery will almost instantl relax the driving stress out of you. You can enjoy both trails and beach walks. If your prudish, be careful at Truro. I believe it still has a clothing-optional area.
