Rode the trail today, and there was a tree down, some closed areas where I had to go around in gravel but I had a good time. It's peaceful there... still a gem in the crime-infested city.

Excellent trail for endurance training. Its close to the city and mostly flat which makes it ideal for running. A few road closures due to constructions, just before the herring run greenway begins.

Always a good run on the trail. It is shaded for summer runs which is nice. There are not as many people on Herring Run Trail compared to Lake Montebello. Lake Montebello is a nice loop with workout equipment along the way. Lots of people, all of the time.

couple short stretches of closed sections as described below. nice trail. little foot traffic

Paved trail around Lake Montebello and then along either side of Herring Run. Couple 50 to 100 yd sections closed...detour over gravel path or on actual roadway. Quiet, only some other walkers on the trail

Nice area around the lake and for most of the trail. Paved the entire way. Little bit sketchier as you get past the post office section.

Very mellow, easy hike in the city. No running here, this was all hike at a typical pace. Excellent city trail!

Great walk ,skate or easy biking trails . View around Montabello Lake is fantastic since they put up nice wrought iron fencing.Going through the park trail is very nice and relaxing. Nice views of the stream and you may be able to see the ducks or egret that live there. They post all dogs must be on leash but mine always runs and never have had any issue with other dogs. I do take precautions around other peoples pets because I don't know how their animals will react. Large fields to throw balls or let dogs run. Great for kids. Easy walking and you can deviate through the woods if you can find the ''hidden'' trails. Playground area also and occasionally you can catch a soccer game going on. Fishing is allowed but don't expect a big catch, mostly just fun for kids to do! The hidden gem in Baltimore city!!
