Parked at parking lot #1. Took me and my dog 2 hours to complete the loop. Trail is easy to follow if you pay attention to marked signs. If not I can see how you could get lost easily. Mostly wooded paths I thought there would be a lot more open fields and spaces. There was not many people on this trail. Don’t forget your boots. Lots of poop and mud. Lots of up hill and down hill on trail. Scenic and pretty overall.

BEAUTIFUL short hiking trail. Little to no underbrush so you can feel more confident about avoiding ticks. Nice variety of wooded scenery. Wear good shoes as it can be muddy in a few spots.

On horseback. The trail is well marked. Rocky in some areas. Recommend shoes or hoof boots. Scenic. Meandering forest trails, stream crossings, open fields. Can hop off at the red covered bridge and picnic at the tables in the pavilion. There’s a place to tie horses up to. I parked at the North Appleton lot (Lot #3) and started out on the Green Trail which hooks up with Orange Loop at the covered bridge. Combo of Green and Orange trails this way made for a nice 2 hour trail ride.

Nice trail, prepare to get muddy, watch out for lots of horse poop too. Not able to go very high speed , but a descent workout, I would keep it for the horses though.

Great for the pups!! So much open space I feel I could spend all day there! Holly trails!!!

nice big loop. it's all gravel road and the gravel gets pretty large at points. might not want to wear those ultralight trail runners for this loop.

Poorly marked. No distance information. No maps even though trail is $5 out of state. Don't veer off the marked trail....EVER...very difficult to find your way back to the main trail. Will pass coming back here.

This place was beautiful and my dog and I loved the variety of trails. Make sure you carry a trail map. There are many unmarked areas.

I was on this trail for 2.5 hours bc we were so lost. This trail needs to be marked a lot better

Thick wooded area with beautiful creek.

Definitely could be marked better..

I love this trail. It begins near the covered bridge, and meanders beside the creek for a while, passing an abandoned bridge, and usually a few deer nestling in thickets during the day.

After crossing the creek, it becomes a bit more strenuous, with some elevation changes that provide a nice vantage point at the trail you've just covered.

The best part is that this trail seems to be a bit less traveled, so if you are looking for serenity, this is an excellent choice.

Fairly easy hike. Only thing I could imagine making it a “moderate” hike would be the distance. Also found a very friendly black male kitty about a 1.5 miles in.

nice woodsy and hilly trail that is shared with horses. just sucked because part of the orange loop is currently closed.... when the path split we went to the left... when the part along the creek ended and at the road... that's where the trail is closed... we ended up following the road and jumping back onto the towards the end on the remaining path.

This hike took about an hour and was easy. It was nice since it has lots of trees; it is a cool path as you cross the creek several times.

Nice variety. Woods, a stream and open fields on this hike. In many parts it's also a horseback riding trail so be forewarned.

Very scenic and not overcrowded like delaware trails

Nice trail, easy to follow! Lots of horses and a few bikers. Just watch out for the horse poo

Absolutely loved the wooded adventure and saw plenty of deer. Unfortunately, the trail has numerous intersections and is not well marked. My dog and I were out for an extra hour because of the lack of a specific route.

This trail sucks. If you enjoy lengthy walks through overgrown grass fields in the beating sun, you might like it. I, however, prefer woods, trees, shade, creeks, rocks... variety. I quickly regretted bringing my dog along for this one, as he had virtually no escape from the sun and quickly started overheating.

Was more moderate that easy, especially for our novice 10 & 11 year olds. They did have to hop off their bikes a few times. But it was a good experience, and we'll definitely do it again.

Perfect for a short hike with my kids. We enjoyed the different creeks and horses passing us.

Decent hike. Over grown in parts. Not hard. Moderate.

Excellently maintained. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because there are sections that are either poorly marked or not marked at all - when multiple trails converge. Otherwise the trail itself and the scenery deserve 5 stars.

Great trail for a new rider. Trail winds through a wooded area, inclines and declines are relatively gentle. Has some roots and rocks in a few locations that spices up the ride. I think there was 4 creek crossings which always adds to the experience. I was looking for a longer ride so I did the loop in both directions. Its a little easier if you bear to the right and go counterclockwise. Either way it is enjoyable trail.

double track trail for the most part, not very clearly marked, but for a good quick workout it is a nice trail. gravel is loose in some areas so be careful

Well marked, easy trail. I took my 11 and 7 year olds with me and they loved it. They especially loved the Nature Center play area. We saw lots of horses, too! It was a bit long for them, but there are shorter options.

Was very fun but easily got a bit confused on how to get back. No worries we retraced our steps and we're there in no time!

Our 3.3 mile hike turned into 6 because it was hard to keep to the trail. Watch out for the horse poo! Not too many good sights, when you reach the nature center and follow the trail it gets harder!
