wish it were longer (that's what she said..she being me)...but not bad at all. this is my fav local trail and it's short enough and covered enough I can bring my rotti for a good work out. the parking isnt the best but always find a spot. came to run this morning and there were a few MTB out .. fellow runners. not crowded at all. some muddy areas.. small roots that stick out are the worst part. Enjoy!

Amazing trail however there weren’t too many indicators for trails and there were plenty of bikers out.

First time here. Wish we came earlier to explore other trails. Ive been told there is nearly 20 miles here, but the trail we took (twice) was only 2 1/2 miles. Good work out. Nice scenery. This is NOT a beginners trail. I'm still learning, was able to build confidence with my second go round. I didnt stop to walk it as much as the first time around. There were alot of muddy spots. Signage is ok. Not the best. There were a few people MTB riding while we were riding too. Everyone was curteous. The porta potty at the parking lot needs ALOT of attention! Its disgusting. I'd like to come back. Unfortunately, no camping for the public in the area. OH - almost forgot. Georgeous views, but not as much nature noise as Id like...you can hear the highway noise in the background, which really is distracting. Personally we go to the woods to unwind from that world. Nonetheless, would go back.

Well-maintained trail with only a handful of muddy spots. Changes in elevation and scenery keep it interesting. Would consider it more of a moderate than easy. Good mix of trail runners, hikers, & mountain bikers out today (Memorial Day weekend) but not unbearably crowded.

First time on the trail was today for a running-hike, up/down windy hills - loved it!!! ...will be going on a regular basis from now on, and its within 7 miles from home and I didn't know it was there until recently.

Went hiking here and had a great time on the trail. It was mostly mountain bikers so you have to be alert on the trail at all times, but there were a few hikers and people with their dogs. Wouldn't call it super easy like some of the paved trails are rated in Anne Arundel County. There are a lot of hills which make it excellent for mountain biking and a bit more of a challenging hike. I found the trails in great condition, well maintained. I will be back here again for sure!

nice trail, well traveled. a bit of road noise but less so from 1/4 to 3/4 mark

Nice trail with varied elevations. Beautiful day today, so there were several mountain bikers-- more so than other hikers. didn't get to complete the loop, so I'll be back.

Not as flat as the description implies, but a nice rolling, minimally technical trail run. pretty scenery.

First time riding during the week and I’ll return! Trail was almost empty. Tree roots are a bit of a bother. Trail is best 2 days after rain.

Great Trail that’s easy to navigate and extremely well maintained. I walked 3 miles and never saw another person, only 1piece of trash, and had to step over one downed tree. I felt like I had the forest all to myself, terrific! Some noise from 97 but nice creeks to glimpse.

Great trail. I did not ride today because it was to muddy. Not everyone has made a similar decision and the trail is a mess today. Let it dry out folks.

Nice trail for entire family. Enjoyed the day. Review the turtle trail as it has the same starting point. Best I can figure you combine the two to get more bang for your trip.

There is a small parking area (6-8 cars?) and porta-potty at the trailhead, which is off a public road. We went on a Thursday morning in mid December. Over 7.3 miles, we only saw 6 people, 4 of them mountain bikers. We very much appreciated that the bikers called out to us as they approached, so we had a chance to step off the trail and not be caught by surprise. The trail was easy to follow, but with several options for shortening it, so we checked ourselves on the AllTrails map at a few intersections to make sure we we stayed on the long route. The trail gets very narrow in places, and the hillsides are sometimes steep. There were only two ascents big enough to accelerate my heart rate, but even then it wasn’t much. I think it was very pretty with the leaves off the trees and on the ground because you get to see the contours of the hills., and the stream below.

Great trial, well marked and easy to follow. Easy hike, some hills to climb but nothing crazy. This is a great addition to Anne Arundel County!!! Bikers on the trial are usually really polite!

Great trail! Looking forward to bringing my bike next time. Nice single track with a few technical spots.

Good easy trail, well marked. Just be warned the Monday after Thanksgiving this becomes public hunting land so where bright colors.

moderate hills, great looking trees, but no wildlife :(
