would definitely do it again but it is 5.5 miles start to finish not 4.7 and it is on the heavier side of moderate and barely trafficked. things to keep in mind before you head on out, and keep your eyes out for the blue blazes, it is easy to wander off.

An enjoyable trail! light to moderate in terms of intensity, is extremely private, and it winds through a relatively untouched forest. Some attractive ponds, a small waterfall, and several small streams to rock-hop across. NOTE: The actual route differs from what is shown on the All trails map (the actual marked route strays from what is shown in the app), and it is 5.2 miles, not 4.3.

Great trail. Get a little of everything. Only drawback, no high vistas really. We saw three bald eagles at the pond when we were there yesterday. We went counter clockwise and I agree with Colby, my mileage tracker said 6.1 miles total.

Will definitely go back to run this loop.

Very clear and well marked trail. Only a small amount of elevation and up/downhill sections. Trailhead is easy to find. The loop portion might only be 4.3 miles, but the total distance is definitely closer to 6.

Absolutely gorgeous! The hills are rough but it is so worth it!

The waterfall and nearby meadow were beautiful!! It was a nice long walk/hike. The trail markers could have been more updated but aside from that it was great!

A nice long walk but the only point of interest is the pond. Ended up adding 1.5 miles to the trip because the trail head was not clearly marked and we started a second loop.

Great hike....a beautiful walk through the woods.....lots of ridge lines, pine forests, fern fields, bogs and bridges, and a serene pond...BUT pay close attention to the loop's intersection with the trail's tail that leads back to the parking lot on Basin Rd. It's very easy to miss! We actually started back around the loop before we figured out we had missed the junction. It's on a ridge line...there is a cairn that might be attempting to point to the opening for the junction with a pointy, jagged top rock but just make a mental and photographic note of its location at the beginning of the hike. The tail part of the trail from the parking area to the start of the loop is about a half mile. I think a few strategically placed trail signs would be super helpful!☺️

I got 6.6 miles, not 4.3. but it was good.

Perfect place for bird watching. I spotted a snowy egret in the marshes, which are fairly unusual this far North. Trails are clearly marked and have easy footing.

CAUTION: Very high tick population! Dress appropriately and check yourself after your hike.

Nice set of three trails, I've lived nearby for half my life and glad I finally made the trip. I went on the 'Geological Trail' and will see the other parts soon!
