Great hike! Connected with Mud Hole to make it a loop. Loop is 5.5 miles and took my family about 4.5 hours. Slowest part is along the coast and not well marked. Have to look closely for the blue blazes, but pretty much follows the coast so it would be very difficult to get lost. My 4 year old got tired and needed help in several places along coast but all other kids, 6,8,10,12 had no problems. Little Cape Point Trail longer than Mud Hole. Found pitcher plants on Little Cape Point Trail. Mud not a problem on either trail as raised boards traverse several boggy parts. Only saw 3 other hikers during our morning hike. And went at the tail end of low tide to see more seabed.
