Well marked trail with great distant views for moderate effort. There are easy connecting options labeled to take other trails. There were only about a dozen other hikers today with perfect weather!

Great experience climbing and scrambling the less traveled trail. Got some great views not seen from the parking lot.

Used Megunticook Trail to reach the Ocean Overlook. Beautiful views of Camden and the bay. There are also some Peregrine falcons that live below the overlook that you can watch for. From Ocean Overlook, we went north on Ridge Trail until we reached Mt Megunticook summit. No views from the summit but the wooded trail was very nice and offered some more exploring before heading back.

Awesome trail! I would say it takes an hour. I forgot to pause my recording so it’s a little skewed. Can be sheer in some spots, my 63 yo mother had some difficulties but she’s also a little uncoordinated

Wasps still active on the trail 9/22/19. You can avoid them by taking a right at the fork, then left at the top, across the ridge, and then down to the cross/lookout.

The view was gorgeous. The hike was very steep but short. My issue when we hiked 2 days ago was the swarm of yellow jackets that someone had disturbed that stung myself, my husband, and my dog. There must have been a ground nest directly next to the trail a little ways after you turn left at the fork toward Maiden Cliff. I'm guessing that the group in front of us must have kicked it because we were swarmed unexpectedly without touching anything. Gorgeous hike but be careful!

Superb sunset view!

Fantastic hike and view, aside from being attacked by yellow jacket wasps......

Beautiful well marked and maintained trial with moderate steps, climbs and some flat plateaus as well. Spectacular views and nice picnic/ table rocks. Not too crowded in September.

Beautiful and very steep trail.

A really nice hike. Lots of interesting boulders near the top. The view is spectacular and well worth the climb. Moderate difficulty level and nothing excessive. Note: the trail sign at the top which is located at the ridge route split was knocked over so I temporarily got onto the ridge trail and had to backtrack once I figured it out. Took almost two hours with several stops along the way. The trail is well suited for all age hikers who are capable of moderate difficulty trails. Enjoy!

Moderate, well-marked hike with a steady incline. Good for various skill levels, saw a range of folks up and down the trail. The panoramic views from the Ocean Lookout are well worth the walk up the mountain - quite something! Also really enjoyed the forested section between the lookout and the summit. The canopy light, moss, tangled root system, and wooden paths make for a tranquil setting.
