I did this trail with my almost 3 year old today. It was an awesome walk! We both loved the switch-ups the trail offers—it goes from fairly smooth, flat surface, to a very long wood plank/boardwalk, to large boulders. It also has some neat bridges, beautiful Mountain views and the sound of loons! Great, fun walk for families.

Views are incredible! Definitely requires good footwear and not for those with a fear of heights.

If you're here and want a 2-3 hour comprehensive bubbles and Jordon pond route, start at Pond south point near the restaurant, hike up the west side of the lake, turn right at the north point, hike up to the intersection, go left to see north bubble (its further than you think but you'll know when youre there), return back and see south bubble, then return back down the trail past South bubble and continue back to your var via jordon pond path east side. Not too strenuous at all, very great morning/afternoon loop. You'll see it all w/ a good workout.

Pretty challenging due just to fear of heights. Otherwise not scary, We actually came back down via Gorham Mtn trail, which is a much nicer loop back down plus the ability to see the blow hole (not that exciting).

Hiked this loop a few years back. I'd call this Moderate Plus. Pretty challenging includes especially at the stairs, but this was my favorite hike in Acadia. Highly recommended!

I and my friend started this hike at 2 am so that we could reach summit by sunrise. We were so scared because there was no one else on that trail and it was a dark night. It was fun in a way that we walked so fast that we reached an hour before the sunrise. Watching sunrise was worth it though. I found getting down was tougher that climbing actually.

This trail did not disappoint. It was beautiful and fun for our whole family! I know a lot of others have said it should be listed as easy but I can see why it is not. There are lot of both natural and man made steps, as well as, many areas of the trail with extensive roots.

loved this!!

loved this loop!! its beautiful and lots of interesting things to see. acadia never disappoints! very glad I didnt have my dog. it would have been a difficult trail for him, a 2 year old german shepherd. he could have done it but would have been sketchy in parts

Map is not accurate. Trail has been re-routed

This is a great hike that gives you a taste of some rock scrambling that is typical of Acadia hikes yet it is not to long nor a great elevation gain. Recommend good shoes or hiking boots The views are spectacular. We did this before the park loop road opened up so encountered no people. However, due to its popularity, it may be difficult to social distance as crowds return to Acadia.

Lovely foggy hike. No view today. But also not too hot and no bugs.

Great trail, expect to climb on rocks, steep assents, but fun trail. No bugs. Should have beautiful view (it was cloudy when we climbed it)

Wouldnt consider this a "hike" but the view of the ocean and coastline from the rocks is awesome. great place to spend a little time soaking in the scenery and hear the waves crash!

This is a really great hike in Acadia NP. It's basically like the little brother to the iconic Precipice Trail. Honestly, probably just as memorable. I did this as a warm-up before hitting Precipice back in September 2019

The most epic hike in Acadia NP for sure! Very memorable. Glad to have checked it off the bucket list back in September 2019

From Echo Lake-4 ladders reach the summit. Dry conditions-otherwise could be slick. I will bring my daughter next trip. She’s young, but capable and confident enough to climb and descend the ladders. Great time-beautiful place!

This was my first experience with a vertical hike using iron rung bars for cliff ascension and I was not disappointed! A truly stunning climb with gorgeous views and adventure the whole way up. Not for those who have a severe fear of heights or vertigo. I would highly recommend this to anyone who truly enjoys hiking/climbing (not just trail walking). Definitely go up beehive for the climb and down bowl for the lake visit during descent.
