I went up the north ridge and down the south (no roads go near the south trail down, and you can catch a shuttle). Actually went up and down barefoot, and still did it all in under four hours. If you’re in half decent shape it’s a breeze.

On the way up cars pass very close by several times but that didn’t stop a deer from running across the trail! It’s really crowded on top, and as you get nearer there are lots of people who walked on from the road. It’s a bit lame, but not enough to take away from the hike and views.

I highly recommend going down the south side rather than doubling back. The scenery changes, I passed less than 5 people (and about 20+on north ridge), and it goes straight into one of the campgrounds.

This trail is amazing. Be careful during rain tho.

Beautiful hike! was a little rough in places, but had a lot of beautiful stops to rest my legs in the way up. followed the blue markings and a beautiful stream. had to be careful because of the leaves and rocks were a tad slippery. amazing view at the end, very much worth the hike. ended up watching the sunset later on. amazing views!

This is the best trail I have ever done! The most beautiful trail for the entire time of the hike and even more gorgeous at the top!

I would do this trail again in a heartbeat!

Precipice made Beehive seem like child's play. The beginning of the trail starts off with some pretty cool boulder hopping. You have nice views within 10 minutes. The rest of the trail is a series of switchbacks, ladders, steps, and bridges. You're on cliff faces the majority of the way up. I felt safe, but wet rocks/rain could make for a pretty dangerous ascent. We hiked up and over, down the Orange/Black trail to the road, and followed the road back to the Precipice lot. We did this after sunrise on Cadillac and saw only 2 couples. Awesome hike during peak foliage!

Hiked the Beehive trail and connected to the bowl to make a big loop. Beautiful, crystal clear lake. You'll want to bring something to swim in!

Did this trail in the evening when it was extremely foggy, I'm sure there would have been great views if it wasn't for the fog. A great trail otherwise, wild blueberry bushes are everywhere. You are following blue arrows painted on the rock

So beautiful.

Fun hike, a must do if in the park

Love this trail with beautiful view

This was a fun hike. There are great views. We simply did the loop counter-clockwise from the parking area along the highway. Be aware that once you reach the top of the South Bubble, the trail continues down the face of the Bubble; it is steep and a lot of bouldering is involved until you get down to Jordan Pond.

Lots of views, lots of up, and in the fall you don’t see many people going this way, add mileage starting from camp ground :)

Great hike with amazing views and lots of elevation changes

We took Emory to Schiff. It was beautiful and fun. The stairs stop at the very top so we had to come back due to ice and slick rocks. Came down Deiderich's Climb which was amazing and very steep. A chunk of the path was missing but was able to get to the other side pretty easy. Would love to do it again to reach summit. Loved all of it.

A personal favorite Acadia hike of mine for many years. Though short, this climb is mostly "up" offering some fun yet challenging (but safe) rock scrambling in the beginning that gets you up high quickly. About half way up you are able to continue up the path or veer off into the "ravine" which is very doable with 2 ladders to bring you back up to the main trail. Beautiful views from the top. Basic physical strength needed to complete the hike.

I suggest the rating could be easier except walking on the planks might be tricky for some.
And heard some comments especially those ‘older’ than me that the rocks were a little tricky to traverse.
Great views, walking around a lake or water never gets old!!.

Perfect trail for the kids. Well maintained. Lots of spots to stop and take in the calming sounds of the stream. Plenty of birds. Option to return via carriage road but who wants to do that?!

This was a beautiful trail with so many awesome views at each level. Perfect for fall leaf peeping and photography. Not a difficult hike. The only disappointment was the road was next to the trail at points which took away from the nature. This is a”must do’ hike.

This was beautiful! I’d rate it more easy than moderate since it’s relatively flat the entire way. I liked the parts where you got to walk over the boulders. The view is waterfront the entire way. Took about 1 hour, 20 min. (For context: I’m 55 and athletic, but a relatively inexperienced hiker).

Amazing views and a great hike! Nice climbing activity at some points and good surprises along the way, such as a small lake.
The beach was a beautiful place to park the car, would definitely recommend to check it out while there.

A wonderful hike. Mainly over rocks. We did it together with my family incl. a 20 months old in a carrier. Stopped many times. Made it up in 2 hours and down in about 1.5 hours. The gift shop up top sold hot chocolates, which we loved as it was cold and windy on this October day.

Took about 2:15 to finish round trip at a fairly brisk pace. Easy all the way up. A little towards the end but nothing strenuous for any normal human. Great views during ridge hike until to get to human parade at the top.

S’ok. Fairly easy all the way up if you have any climbing background. Just a simple scramble at best.

Beautiful trail gradual ascent. Follow the blue blazes

Views are awesome on top. Going up / down from / to Echo Lake Beach provides the experience of climbing some iron ladders:-)

I’d definitely do it again! The fire-tower at the summit is unexpected but provides good views.

Nice walk around the pond. We went counterclockwise so first half of the trail was very easy. Second half included walking on some flat rocks and a well-maintained wooden boardwalk. Good for a windy or rainy day when harder hikes may be dangerous.

Amazing view! especially during autumn when the foliage is out and the crowds are down. Definitely start at the beehive. We met some hikers on the trail who started at Gorham and were disappointed.
