We cheated and took the road back after the waterfront portion of the hike. We were tired and got up early for the sunrise and already did two other hikes and honestly it’s none of your business. We cheated but loved it. Rocky and full of roots but beautiful. Would recommend

Hiking

Did not get to do the whole hike, but wanted to come on here to say that I wouldn’t necessarily call this a dog friendly hike. Going up the south bubble was tricky and there was a steep and narrow section up at the top that my dog wasn’t able to fit through, even if we were able to boost him up, so unfortunately we had to turn back around. I will say that the views at least from where we stopped were beautiful

Nice easy hike. The water side is shaded and somewhat rooted. So don’t wear sunglasses on that side

Great moderately challenging hike. Not too much scrambling but with lots of rocks. Definitely recommend summiting for views... (I forgot to stop time in the middle for pictures, so take an hour off our recording for better gauge of time)

One of the best hikes ever. Worth every drop of sweat. A lot of nice areas, some part challenging for dogs.

HikingGreat!

Absolutely love love loved this trail. We missed the south bubble in the beginning so we did it at the end (it’s super challenging and highly recommend this direction as climbing those rocks versus coming down is better). We took Eagle Lake Trail back and SO GLAD we did that, it’s beautiful and adds variety, honestly my favorite part. Also not many people on the trail! Only struggle was finding parking at 9:30am on a weekday, but someone eventually came out who was leaving. Otherwise, such a nice, rewarding hike with great views and quiet trails.

The trail was overall very nice and the views payed off. It took us 3:10 minutes. It was very tiring and we had to stop every ten to fifteen minutes. There were not too many people on the trail, but we had to wait a few minutes to make a picture at the Bubble Rock, but the views were very nice. The reason I did not put this trail as 5 stars is because after the 2nd mountain, the Blue markings were disappearing, making it very hard to see where to go. It was confusing because we would only find one every 2 minutes . Overall a nice trail to take your kids or dogs on, if they don’t get tired that easily :)

The Lower Harbor Trail was beautiful when walking next to the water and the Bike path was nice to walk along as well. We were trying to follow a loop here on All Trails, but part of the loop was through an unmarked trail that had not been maintained so we had to turn around and stuck to the bike path for longer, which we felt was a safer option for our group. We definitely had fun though! Anticipate a lot of uphill walking!

A beautiful trail. Went at low tide and was able to walk around on the sea floor.

Easy well marked trail first thing into Schoodic. Beautiful scenery. Cut it a bit short of the full loop on the carriage roads

Great trail system. Logged this as 6.5 miles total by going all the way to Eagle Lake and back instead of the 4.4. I would also say to be incredibly cautious if you bring a dog. I would say going up South Bubble is not very dog friendly unless you have a brave, agile dog that you can lift up easily.

Great hike. Stellar views throughout! Challenging but super doable. I recommend doing this hike counterclockwise from the parking lot so that you’re not doing the crowded rock scramble up and instead are coming down. Enjoy!

HikingGreat!

Great hike overall with awesome views. South Bubble had some moderate traffic, but North and Conner’s was practically empty. Some areas had rock scrambles and loose rocks, so shoes with good traction is a plus. This is a great trail to hike if you want to get away from the crowds. Took the Eagle Lake Trail and Jordan Pond Carry back to the bubble parking lot. Only issue is in regards to the hikers - please hold onto your trash and dispose of it properly! Saw some gross stuff towards the end of the trail.

Mountain bikingGreat!

Fantastic loop ride around Penobscot and many other peaks on the west side of Jordan Pond. The ride is completely manageable on a cruiser and likely suitable for younger riders with a bit of stamina. Some awesome downhill sections and great views throughout!

did this on a gravel bike, it's not really mountain bike terrain, but All trails doesn't have gravel, adventure or cyclocross as an option. nothing too challenging in terms of terrain, some decent climbs and there are some fabulous views.
