Great little hike! My husband and I brought our dogs and it was easy for them! Had beautiful views of the ocean at the top! Had no idea on the way down there would be access to a beach area! It was nice to just sit and take in all the views before heading back on the trail! Dogs do go swimming in the beach there so be careful of off leash pets.

Cool little path down to the ocean and beside beautiful hunters brook

This was a fun trail. Some steep rocky sections we were not expecting. We have a big dog and some of the steep sections were a little challenging for him.

Easy trail that mostly follows the main park loop road. Lots of little stopping points and lots of amazing views.

Beautiful trail. The far end of the trail takes you to a nice rocky beach that the kids loved.

Very easy trail but long enough to satisfy. The view from Otter Cliff to Sand Beach was stunning.

A section of this trail was closed so we took the detour via Cadillac cliffs. This section was a lot of fun!

The ocean views from the top were amazing and the ocean breeze felt terrific! This trail was well maintained and the cairns that marked the way helped.

Quick, easy hike. Only recommendation is if you’re staying at Seawall Campground, don’t walk to this hike, even though it’s very nearby. Cars drive very fast along the road and in sections there is almost no shoulder.

Great variety of terrain. Our pup loved it too! Amazing view. Can’t miss hike!

Super easy walk with great views

Easy trail that takes you to a lovely spot on the rocks along the coast to enjoy the views. Take a lunch and relax on the rocks! The dog really enjoyed the rocks!

Easy trail that is a little steep at the very beginning. The rest of the loop is downhill. The views are amazing!

It’s a path, but great views and plenty of places to venture off and enjoy the views!

We hiked this loop counter-clockwise after doing Great Head and Beehive and we loved it! I’m 6 months pregnant and was definitely tired at the end of the 8 mile day but ending with Gorham Mountain was great! Part of the trail (.3 miles) was closed so we were forced down Cadillac Cliffs Path (also .3 miles) which was beautiful! I think the other way has better ocean views but the cliffs and rocks were awesome.

Great little jaunt down one of Acadia's lesser known streams. Well established, root-filled trail follows the stream from Cooksey road down to the "beach". A small pool forms before the water filters down through the rocks into the cove, creating a very interesting waterway. Decent spot for a quick dip to cool down. Rocky beach flanked by cliffs provides a great place to have lunch without the crowds of nearby trails and beaches.

Easy, short trail with great ocean views! I like to go to sand beach and start and end the loop there.

Easy hike! My husband and I took this trail to the summit at sunset and it was perfect

Great hike. I went through the Beehive Trail to the Bowl then followed up with this loop on the way back. I’m planning to bring my 9 year old daughter through this loop but will hold off on the Beehive until later.

Lovely walk from bar harbor inlet across the sand bar to bar island with a nice view of Bar Harbor on Cadillac mountain at the end. I saw a beautiful downy woodpecker on my way. Wonderful place.

Loved this hike but was surprised to find out that part of the trail was closed and had to take the Cadillac Cliffs work around. Actually made more of an adventure but may not be for everyone. Would definitely go again.

Beautiful stroll even in ugly weather like I had. Would definitely recommend it.. There are some rough uneven areas that could be tough for some.

Great hike. I would not hike it if you are afraid of heights. Some minor climbing needed through iron stairs, you will have to use your hands intensively.

Flat easy trail (completed in sandals) the tidal pools are amazing too see and minimal people. A different yet beautiful view

Fairly easy trail, mostly stair like. Gorgeous views at the stop and fun trail to walk with all rock exposed.

Great views of the harbor and it’s fun to walk across the low tide.

It is a beautiful trail but you can easily get lost because the trail is not well marked. Luckily the island is not that big so if you are lost, you are not lost for that long. You should be careful though because if you are on the island too long the tide may come up and you will be stuck there for about 9 hours unless you get a water taxi back to the land.

amazing view and very easy hike. there's some neat rock formations as well. We combined Beehive loop and this loop to get views from both.
