This is a beautiful, easy trail with some very nice points such as the waterfall and the giant rock outcropping. Nice family hike.

Beautiful views of small waterfalls. Very muddy, woud recommend boots. The rock that leads out to the overlook of the lake is beautiful. The trail is decently marked, and the pathway is visible. The road leading up to this trail is very narrow, be cautious. Overall we loved it!

This trail is excellent for beginners or kids! I hiked along with my 2 year old and 6 year old. The trail is very well maintained with beautiful views of Paintsville Lake.

Nice, short hike. To walk out on the rock overlooking the lake there is a big step down over a rock. Not for everyone. Beautiful view of the lake. This was my second time walking this area. Had to search to find the entrance to get on the actual trail. The walking bridge is a little unstable. Easy hike with the exception of going down/up hill to get on and off the trail, but there may be an easier access that my crew and I were unaware of.

I probably couldn't even begin to count the times I've walked this trail growing up. It's a beautiful and well kept trail. Views of the lake and plenty of places to sit and just enjoy your surroundings. Almost always see some sort of wild life. Dogs are allowed on this trail. I always try to walk it when I go back home to visit my parents.

Beautiful trail! Hiked it with a friend, my youngest daughter and our dog. It's very nice, well maintained and easy access. Perfect for families with kids of all ages, even strollers. The leaves are changing and starting to fall so it was very pretty. Views of the lake are very nice too. We will do this one again for sure!

Great walk, not too strenuous. Trail is in really good condition. Lot of shaded areas along trail. Highly recommend!

One of my new favorite trails. Probably best to have an SUV, road leading to has lots of mud holes. Beautiful wildflowers, lots to look at, and leads to the lake at the end. Looks like a fun place to bring the dogs and maybe swim. On the way back we walked into the creek and saw down a small waterfall. Very pretty.

Ticks...so many ticks. Not well maintained but somewhat expected for the area.

I couldn’t find the trail part leading to the waterfalls and over hangings. I brought my dogs and they loved the open trail. Can someone recommend how to get to the water fall?

Great trail and easy to walk if you stay on path. On the way back we walked to creek and looped to the top. Was a little tougher but well worth the views of waterfalls and overhangs.

Easy walk, awesome view! Climbing out on the rock is a little precarious, proceed with caution!

Easy trail, actually a road used to access fields around the lake , well maintained. No markers and no gps or phone signal. Very secluded and a great place to swim or fish. Many places to get in the water if you search off the beaten path a little

Great trail, lotsa walker/runners , gravel the whole way. The trail actually goes around the home place if the gates are locked , not as shown on map but easy to navigate and well marked

Great paddle through some beautiful country. There are several trees across. But, they were easy to get around.

A really cool and easy trail with lots to see. The trail did abruptly stop at one point and there were a bunch of fallen trees. We walked through some thick brush and found our way around which led us to a field of wildflowers. Totally worth getting off the beaten path.

We took our dogs plenty of room to run tons of open fields and different access points to the lake which is beautiful only thing we didn't like was the amount of mud at the time but it's very private and that made it so nice I wouldn't consider it moderate it was really easy but would love so have seen more access trails to the huge rocks. Overall the parts near the lake are great and if you have dogs it's a must also it seems in the summer time they do horseback riding so very glad we went in the winter so we could let the dogs free. I would do again during the fall in the middle of the week just to let the dogs go wild or if I had a kayak
