Great trail, I logged it as 4.8 miles, not sure about the disparity with AllTrails. Beautiful forest with dogwood and redbud blooms, and of course the serenity of Honker Bay.

Trail is littered with trash. Downed trees and washed out portions.

Nice and easy. Bit muddy after the rain but that’s to be expected. Lake views.

A beautiful trail, often takes you along the edges of the lakes. You have it all to yourself. Seldom used. Especially in winter. Just prepare seriously for the ticks in the warm seasons.

Lovely trail! Super easy stroll. The trail does get a bit muddy but is easily bypassed.

Great campground and easy walking trail.

a chance to see different terrain, from lakeside to heavy wooded area. Overall nice trail.

Awesome trail I ride this trail several times a month!!

Nice variety of terrain and views of the lake. Recent storm left a lot of debris on the trails.

If you are looking for a trail with some small hills, and by water- I would recommend this trail! about 5 miles long, good for a walk/run. after a rainy period, be aware that it does flood in some places.

Gorgeous views in the spring and summer. The lotus blooms across the water make the lake so pretty. Watch out for snakes as I have seen some in the area. You can kayak and canoe here as well but you have to reserve your boat at the nature center register on the hill above.

Great trail. Bringing a fishing pole next time!

OK hiking. Lot's of bikers but they are pretty polite and good about calling out their presence. Great for running since it is a pretty smooth surface overall. I use this trail routinely.

Great trail with nice views. When hiked back in the summer noticed seed ticks so be prepared. Well
Maintained....

Nice hike with the pup.

Made the trek from the south welcome center to the north on 23/24 November. Beautiful area of land, nice rolling hills and plenty of wildlife. Pack heavy on water, never could find the water points.

Absolutely loved this trail!!! The scenery was awesome and we even saw a deer! Can’t wait to do it again.

Just did a section of it with our scouts. Nice trail, but loose rocks and abundant large acorns can make footing a little tricky in some places. Note, if traveling north from the South Welcome Station (mark N), water can be tough to find along the trail until Prospector's Spring, just north of mark K, about 14.5 miles from the welcome station. We had no joy at Brier Rose Branch (south of mark M) or the fire tower near Iron Mountain shelter. Also, not a loop as it says above.

Beautiful trail, will definitely revisit this one.

Easy trail. Was great to be close to the lake.
I'd do it again!

I look forward to mountain biking it which may be the way to best way to experience this trail. The nearby shooting range changes everything while hiking .

started in the middle and headed north. nice trail.

Easy loop hike for all ages, crosses a couple bridges, lots of neat flora and trees here as well. Walking between the two lakes is a very windy but peaceful experience.

This is a beautiful trail. I enjoyed the birds, deer and the pretty lake views. I did wish for some benches along the way.

Great hike. Beautiful, peaceful

One of my favorites in LBL. It crossed the creek 4 times but only 2 were wet. Goes past an old building site with a spring. The trailhead is across the road from the South Welcome Station where you can pick up trail maps.

This is one of my favorites. There is a steep spot with loose footing. There is wood on either side of the trail there to use to bear crawl up. If going down that side, I tend to crab walk/scoot down on my butt as opposed to risk falling halfway through.
