Visit the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial to see the original grounds were young Abraham Lincoln lived from age 7 to age 21. The Lincoln Boyhood Trail begins near the visitor center and has historical sites along the way including the Pioneer Cemetery where Lincoln's mother (Nancy Lincoln) is buried, the memorial grounds for Lincoln's childhood cabin, and a living historical farm that is a re-creation of the homestead. The Lincoln Boyhood Trail connects to the Trail of Twelve Stones to form a loop back to the visitor center. The Trail of Twelve Stones contains historical stones taken from buildings and structures to commemorate significant events in Lincoln's life and career. Show more
