Very easy, well marked trail! Good for hikers who are just beginning.

We got lost at one point, but besides that, it’s a nice loop that’s pretty easy to walk on, and the view of the water at the top is pretty cool!

Great trail that’s got it all - hills, shade, water views, and a quiet walkway loop!

Loved the hike but it was definitely easy to get lost as some of the side trails/animal trails were larger then the main trail. My girlfriend and I almost walked onto the golf course because we took a wrong turn. Great halfway point stop to play fetch with our dog in the lake.

Fun trail, goes around the lake. Took kids and dogs. Everyone enjoyed!

Technically I was mountain Unicycling. But. Fantastic trails with various terrain. Highly recommended. Get out and visit your local parks.

Great hike. Can’t wait to hike it when the trees have their leaves. Lots of birds. More people than I expected likely due to schools being closed. Some mud throughout hike and an awful lot along the trail by the interstate. Decided to cut to the road as it was getting late and the sun was beginning to set.

Very busy, muddy in areas, but overall a beautiful day.

45lb ruck. Very muddy.

The trail was beautiful overlooking the water. There were many areas around the water where you could get closer and watch the waves lap at the shore. It was very muddy from recent snow melting and that made it much more challenging than we anticipated, especially when there were steep inclines that were slippery. However, it was still a fun trail to walk and i recommend it to anyone who wants a quick hike with a pretty view.

Very muddy but passable. Just be prepared. Other than that the trail is well maintained.

Muddy, but I wouldn't let that stop me. Not much elevation, an easy hike. Pieces of the past, wondering about the landscape before the reservoir existed.

Nice, scenic, solitary walk through the woods and around a couple of coves. Some fallen trees; nothing too bad.

Hiked this afternoon. Muddy, as other reviewers noted. We have not had rain in a good week. Leaf coverage helped us dodge mud is some places. We left from the parking lot with iron bear statue. Lots of Seagull activity and some Mallard Ducks in first cove. From there, the trail leads to a stream, which is currently partially ice covered. Always love the sound of a tricking stream. This leads to a road, which you take to connect back up to the trail on other side of cove. On the way back we opted to take the road all the way up to the cemetery, where you can catch the paved walking/bike trail off of 56th Street. Trail is easy to follow in some areas, and overgrown in others, but easy to navigate this time of year, other than the mud. Parking is free.

Really not bad. A little mud but nothing major. Quiet early morning. Beautiful lake views.
