Nice late fall hike with the wife and 2 dogs. The pretty leaves are long gone, but still good things to look at with the lake and terrain. Enjoyable hike.

I normally go on more backwoods trails. I went to the nature center that had a bird growing window, and from there hit the trail. This trail had stairs and can be difficult for anyone with knee issues. I found the trail easy, quick, a great place for a photo of the lake with fall colors. It has roots on the path around the lake and there's a small waterfall. (I feel it's an exaggeration to say waterfall). I would do this trail again for the colors and picture opportunities, plus, the nature center with the knowledgeable and friendly rangers. ...if ...its late in the day and you need to fit a hike in, go here.

Watch out this trail is under construction so hard to complete the loop right now.
Don’t know how but my garmin GPS recorded 2.8 miles not as advertised, other than that awesome views.

Trail is an out and back right now due to downed trees. Went out with our kids and had to turn around. There is a sign in. Sheet at the beginning. Nothing was noted about the trail damage.

My wife and I hiked Trail 7 around Ogle lake today about 1 week past prime fall colors, but the Beech and Maple trees were still beautiful. The trail felt a little shorter than the claimed 1.5 miles, but we didn't track it to be certain. Quite easy trail with little to no elevation to speak of. Although trail maps show the trail going away from the lake a bit on the North side, it appears the trail does stay near waters edge the entire loop. Heavily trafficked especially during prime times in the park. Nice views of the lake on all sides.

Nice trail overall. Other than the long uphill stairs and one other short section, the trail was not too difficult and mostly flat or slight inclines/declines. My wife and I started from Ogle Parking Lot and hiked in a counterclockwise direction. We were about 1 week past prime fall colors, but still beautiful as the Beech Trees and occasional Maple were beautiful. The trail map provided at the gates are not drawn to scale or at least not that great to rely on in regard to how close you are to a road, etc. The rail actually goes right next to Hesitation Point and the main road whereas on the trail map provided, it is not that close. Trail markings were mostly good. Also, it appears unless you hike out and back to the West Overlook, the trail is closer to 3.2 miles than 3.5 miles. We will hike again in the future.

Best views in Indiana. Nice rolling hills great for a day hike or to venture out with the family.

Trail is well marked, offering a variety of paths - rocky, root strewn, well-packed earth, and natural stairs created by stones. We went early (9:45 am) and took our time so the inclines didn’t seem daunting. Noticed more valley scenes that vistas. Little bit of rain, but with the leaves still intact, we hardly felt a drop. Nice experience and exercise. Would definitely recommend.

good conditioning from lake to bench.

It was fun, a little challenging and about the right distance for a moderate hike. There was only one place where the direction sign was missing that kept us from staying on path but thanks to the AllTrails map we corrected rather quickly.

We were the only hikers out amongst the mountain bikers. It was a great hike, long but peaceful. We had our dog with us and he did great! We will be back.

Nice easy trail

Hard rain but we persevered. Can’t wait to return and try it dry

Challenging enough to be interesting without being too long or exhausting on a hot day in July. Saw lots of turtles and one adult northern water snake

Uneventful trail. It was a little boring, if I'm being honest. But the bathroom nearby had hand soap! Lol

beautiful trail

The trail was a lot of the same view throughout. Lots of trees and wooden steps. Glad I wore long pants due to the path being narrow and overgrown with weeds. Trees down and in the path requiring you to climb over. For a lot of the hike you can actually see and hear traffic due to the trail being so close to the road. Not my favorite hike, probably wouldn’t pursue it again.

Beautiful and challenging hike for a beginner but absolutely rewarding and worth it upon completion!

Nice hike downhill and down stairs from the nature center towards the lake loop and back.

We did Brown County park in Spring with leaves just coming out. Wild flowers in bloom however. I would love to repeat in fall with the colors!

Great Trail! I went on a rainy week day and didn't see anyone else despite nearly 3 hours of running. The trails are well maintained and full of small rolling hills and stream crossings.

My only complaint would be the lack of markings. I kept having to look at my map as there were virtually no marks on the trails.
