Nice hike downhill and down stairs from the nature center towards the lake loop and back.

We did Brown County park in Spring with leaves just coming out. Wild flowers in bloom however. I would love to repeat in fall with the colors!

Great trail, clearly marked, the steps made for a good workout! Will be back again!

Great Trail! I went on a rainy week day and didn't see anyone else despite nearly 3 hours of running. The trails are well maintained and full of small rolling hills and stream crossings.

My only complaint would be the lack of markings. I kept having to look at my map as there were virtually no marks on the trails.

Nice little trail around the lake. Well traveled so markers aren’t really needed. Muddy this time of year since we’ve had a lot of rain.

Well maintained trail. If you love to hike close to the creek this is a great trail for that once you make the decent to the bottom. Trail markers are well placed and in good shape.

Trail head is at the West watch tower. Plenty of parking for this time of year. I imagine it probably gets full quickly during warmer weather. Picnic benches at the trail head. Grass space available for a picnic.

Beautiful hike. Great look out about half way. Has a lot of steps built to make your climb easy. Even for beginners this would be great

Good views. Like the dam and the lake.

Peaceful trail. I hiked in winter and it was extremely quiet. It had been a while since I had been on a trail and this one was a perfect for the first one back.

G
reat trail for running and loved attacking & surging up the long inclines!
Well-suited for endurance training!

My wife and I are fairly experienced hikers and we both agreed this trail should be rated hard for the ascents alone. It's a real workout, but a lot of fun! Incredible views! Nice bench at the loop! Will definitely return!

We loved this trail. Beautiful views around the lake, very peaceful. My golden retriever had a great time too!

Great vista views. Unfortunately hiked as a mountain bike race was starting. Actually got ahead of the racers.

About the most variable terrain you can find for Indiana. Some good lookouts. The lake trail was nice too but very crowded.

Enjoyed our hike, with a nice breeze on a hot, humid day.

This was a nice easy hike. Most of the trail was well kept, but the west side of the lake was much less travelled and seemed to be a bit more overgrown. The trail back up to the nature center was the most difficult part of the whole thing. If you come from the Strahl Lake parking lot, there are a fair number of steps to get up to the lake.

A nice hike with a couple of challenging climbs. It is best to hike this trail in a clockwise direction. This allows you to take a short rest at the CCC shelter before finishing the last quarter mile back to the trailhead.

A great hike with a number of steep inclines. The lookout building makes for a nice resting point.

This trail has a step ascent that makes swift walking difficult for those with breathing obstruction.

Great trail! Good mix of elevation to keep you interested. Started at the lake and did the extension and loop and back. Took just over 3 hours.

Be prepared for a serious climb up some steep stairs and you'll need to climb over a down tree so if you're short like me (5feet nothing) this can present a fun challenge. Enjoy!

Started at Ogle lake, looped and finished back at the lake. Rugged feel to the trail, saw probably a dozen other hiking groups on the ~ 3 hours on the trail. There isn't much to see on this trail in the summer, it's almost completely under the canopy. Good workout though.

Did some hiking on the trail. Saw a Rattlesnake, which was fun. Some mountain bikers alerted me about the snake.
