My way was better. The path is lame, for runners and bicyclists. Lol

Good for trail running. Mix of limestone, dirt, grass paths. Not too crowded since fairly large preserve. Few bikers, hikers. Camp section packed but isolated to one half. Horse trails can be wet and muddy. Moderate elevation gain. As good as it gets in the area.

I bike this trail routinely as it is only a mile from where I live. I love going at all times of year. You can combine it with other trails in the park for a longer ride. The park crew does a fantastic job of maintaining the trails and it’s very clean. It’s a nice escape from the sounds of the city, and there are a few nice ponds to enjoy the views from as well. Depending on the time of year you go, you may get to share the trail with dogs on a walk, horses, RV Park users, or even a dog-sled team.

Hiked the smaller loop today, beautiful wooded areas. Not bad for our first time out. Maybe next time we will follow th map!

Stayed June 29. Campground is nice.. small, vault toilet, no shower. Has a few primitive tent sites in the back 4 or 5 in the trees that were great. Staff was informative and attentive. Trail was decent, crushed rock, reasonably busy. Fishing pond was overgrown with weeds, not much action. Just a nice quiet place with not much going on. Had a good time.

Overall, the Paul-Wolf Trail is a nice hiking trail where you get nice open grasslands to forested areas. The conditions were a little muddy, but that is expected since the snow just melted.
