We love to spend evenings on the Greenbelt just wandering around.

not really a trail.

Nice, easy walk along the river. Public bathrooms with drinking fountain available. Can be crowded.

I love this loop, and if you know the area you can double your fun and ride the full 10 miles. from Sunnyside to the end of the bike path behind the park and back.

The city did a huge improvement on this last fall. Much wider path and cleared out some trees for a better view of the falls. Always a great little walk.

The view of the river, temple, historic house, and water tower add to this simple yet longer walk. Lots of cute benches and even a small memorial along the way.

I use the greenbelt all year round. i can put together a 10 mile loop on a bike and once the snow flies I can tayler my walk to the conditions.

Having lived in Idaho Falls most of my life, I have seen the Greenbelt Trail evolve into a wonderful, well maintained, paved, urban trail. The river and falls are the highlights but don't miss Sportsman's Park on an island in the river with its beautiful Japanese garden in the making. Great place for walking, jogging, biking, and picnics.

We did this trail in early spring. It's completely paved so its perfect for the family outing. There are some great views of the falls. Great place for a picnic as well.

Me and my husband just relocated here from Kentucky a couple
months ago. we finished the greenbelt and had alot of fun. the falls are beautiful and all the baby geese were precious .
going to palisades creek this weekend hoping to come back with lots a good pictures.

The Greenbelt is located adjacent to downtown Idaho Falls along the falls. The path is paved and is used for walking, running, and biking. It is very easy and nicely kept up by the city with unique benches along the whole loop and restrooms on both sides of the river. The path is popular and can be quite crowded on the weekends. Also connects to Freeman Park to the North and other river pathways to the South to make a 10 mile loop.
