Perfect family hike, picnic, swim. Much to explore! You can even do it in flip flops! Went peak summer August weekend and there were 3 or 4 other families, but it didn't feel overly crowded.

Great one for the kids and dogs. suggest week days before noon as weekends get real crowded. Loved it

I would definitely recommend this trail! Even though it’s a short, maintained trail straight to the falls, there are various trails in the area as well. The waterfall along with the wading pool is awesome to swim in especially on a hot, sunny day. Expect people here at anytime of the week, but trails are so spaced out that you don’t really notice anyone! I’d rate this trail 9/10!

Perfect for a quick hike with the kids.

Definitely an easy hike, took about 20 minutes in and out.

Great for kids! Short & sweet! Opportunities for more hiking if desired up & around the canyon!

Fun and easy family hike. Lots of places for the kiddos to explore and a little pond for them to swim when it’s hot out. There is a small stream crossing but they have laid it out so it is easy to cross without getting wet.

Beautiful views of the canyon and waterfall.

We enjoy jeepn in this area. Great views and fun in the snow.

Nice if you need to get outside real quick, the hike is short and easy and swimming in the waterfall is fun.

This is on my Top 10 hikes! Easy hike with jaw dropping views. Perfect for kids! My boys 9 and 12 said this was one of their favorite hikes and we've had our share of hikes! I imagine it is fabulous in the summer for swimming and wading through the creek. Lots of nooks and caves to explore.

Jump Creek is easy to find. I went in the spring when the water was very high and parts of the trail were underwater. Despite the flooding, my trek to the falls was a quick and easy. The falls really are an amazingly beautiful sight out in the Owyhee desert. Saw hawks, coyotes, and people.

this was a neat little rocky hike out to the falls and back. the falls were beautiful and it was a nice swimming spot until it got super crowded. the rim trails were pretty cool as well, definitely recommend making the trip

Great family hike.

This was a really fun, quick hike to a beautiful waterfall. Fun little caves and things to see along the way too. Great for kids as well!

Amazing! Easy hike, great swimming. Absolutely loved it!

Short trail to waterfall. Kids didn't fare well with some of the loose gravel on the trail in some spots.

Easy trail. Beautiful area with refreshing Cold water that feels great on a hot day. Easy to pack in your lunch and spend the afternoon. Bring water shoes as it is rocky.

There is an upper parking lot and a lower parking lot. If you park at the upper lot and walk up to the steel marker signs there is a trail but it only takes you around the rim. There is also no mention that it will not take you down to the falls. We passed a dozen people about to make the same mistake we had and informed them where to start.

Once we went to the lower lot and hiked it the trail was beautiful and shaded as you passed over the creek. Definitely need water shoes. Folks with older knees might have a tricky time over 20yards of trail because of steeper steps that ago up then and down to the creek bed.

The falls are chilly and the ground rocky. Water shoes are a good idea. Bring snacks and have a picnic and enjoy the day!

Super easy hike. Perfect for little kids. Wear shoes that can get wet. Enjoy the waterfall. You can play and swim in it.

The water is nice in 100 degree weather.

Was a great time for the entire family, including the young girls. The water fall view is easy to get to and not much of a hike so we hiked up the other trails around the area and that was definitely an adventure for the family. Also 4th July weekend, so yes people are everywhere... Would be great in the fall or spring.

Did this hike with my 35 week pregnant wife and 3-year old daughter today. It was a nice little trail. The waterfall is cool. It looks better in person than in pictures. There was a trail above the falls trail that looked fun but I did not feel comfortable taking the girls on that one based on the elevation change and danger.

Been several times with the family and visitors to the area. Quick, easy hike with lovely waterfall at the end. Sometimes it's very clean; other times, we've packed quite a bit of garbage out.

Beautiful country and views. I failed to read the hard/ difficult rating. The rating is certainly accurate. About 1/3 of the way through I had my passengers get out because my front wheels were in the air. (Lava rock on a steep climb was a bad mix).

We all made it out alive, but only by he grace of God. This was my fault for failing to read the rating, but know it has surely earned the rating it has.

(September 2016)
Easy and funny short trail to reach the bottom of the fall. Sometimes you have to go through water, sometimes you have to climb a rock... and already is the creek! Very refreshing! We did it just hubby and I, but we'll definitely do it again with the kids during summer! The only negative point imo, it's a little crowded. But it's very subjective.
