Couldn’t do the loop due to trail closures.

It was pretty. We went past heart attack hill and up to the overlook point then looped down because this is the easiest trail I have ever done. Even the heart attack hill was nothing. So I would recommend adding the extra mileage for the views at the overlook. The trail was more of a nature walk though, so if you want something moderate or difficult, this wouldn’t be it.

First half out in sun, so on hot days no shade until back half of hike

Nice hike - recommend extending a little to see Golden Lake as you can see the Tetons from there. We made that our lunch stop. The views are otherwise all meadows and trees (still pretty). Brought my kids and wife and yes there is some death march complaining the last two miles

This is a really pretty trail with lovely views but there’s one part where muddy doesn’t even cover it, it’s like trenches of goopy mud. If it weren’t for that I’d give it 5 stars. Saw trumpeter swans, geese, pelicans, and a Gardner snake.

Hiked this beautiful trail today with my sister and her three children. Because of the recent rain, the animal tracks were easy to see. There were grizzly bear tracks everywhere. The tracks varied greatly in size—we assumed they were from a momma bear and her cubs. Carry bear spray.! Very gentle grade, lovely views, lots of birds, and even a fawn curled up in the grass Long hike but very enjoyable!

Very pretty and peaceful. We just did the Silver Lake loop on Memorial Day. The trail had some muddy spots because of rain from the weekend. Overall very pretty and very fun!

Amazing hike today. Well marked. A little buggy by Golden Lake. Amazing to see two awesome lakes in one hike. Plenty of shade.

There was still quite a bit of snow on the ground but it was compact. We walked right on top without sinking in most places. Really muddy with it all melting. Very beautiful scenery with animals we could see around us. Definitely would go back with the snow gone!

Reminds me of Yellowstone! We saw lots of wildlife on the trail, but no bears. Trails are well marked. Don't miss out on seeing Henry's Fork

Really nice trail- however, I wanted to do another trail but the trails and maps were poorly marked. Great setting and the trails were groomed really well, just wish the signs/maps were clearly defined.

Beautiful, peaceful trail. Saw lots of swans on the lake which really added another element of serenity to the experience. There’s several different loops you can take from the lake to “custom fit” the hike you want to do that day. I’ve been there in both summer and late fall (with snow on the trail and ice on the lake) and loved both seasons equally. Nature therapy at its best!

My wife and I are in our 60s and we hiked this trail on Oct. 16. 2019. The temperature warmed from the 30s to the 50s as we hiked. Most of the trail was quite muddy from recent snow but not too bad. This is a beautiful hike and we only saw 2 other people. Wonderful view from the top. We were not in a hurry and it took us about 3:45. Didn't see any wildlife except birds on Silver Lake.

Harriman is a beautiful park, and this trail lets you get a view of the area. On a clear day, you get a beautiful sight of the Tetons as well. It looks like a great place to mountain bike and we want to come back with our bikes. Beautiful ponds but there are some mosquitos so bring bug spray. There is also a lot of horse poop so be aware of that, and there will be horses on the trail. A little bit rocky at the end but nothing too bothersome.

This hike is beautiful, lots of wild flowers and beautiful scenery, lots of shade and the path is clear though narrow. I even saw a porcupine! The trail had a LOT of horse poop and bugs especially mosquitoes who seemed immune to my bug spray. I would recommend wearing pants and having water proof shoes of some kind.

This state park is fantastic!! As an out-of-towner, I was very impressed. You do have to pay a $5 entrance fee if you don’t have a year pass. There are a variety of trails and you can make this hike what you want from it. My favorite was that the trails were so clearly marked! There was a sign at every intersection. The staff was friendly, there were flush toilets at the visitor center (if drop ones freak you out), and the scenery was beautiful! No Mountain view’s, but amazing meadows and wildflowers!

Great trail for the family! It is well marked with lots of options to extend your hike if you’d like. Beautiful scenery! Bug spray is a must!

Clearly laid out series of trails make it easy to make your own route through the park while tracking mileage. I took a more strenuous route than this one describes... but, was on this path for a significant portion of my hike. HIGHLY recommend bug spray. I walked away with over 100 mosquito bites. That said, views and foliage were gorgeous!

great trail. saw many birds, few people. dogs are NOT allowed on the trails in Harriman, so don't make the mistake we made and have to leave your pup in the car. lots of shade, bug spray recommended.
