Tried to go a couple of weeks ago but Trail was closed for downed tree cleanup and trail maintenance. Open now and fantastic. Easy hike and fantastic scenery. Beautiful this time of year.

I went May 3 and was the only person on the trail until I was leaving. The falls are raging with the snow runoff. The last 1/2 mile drive to the trailhead was closed so I parked and walked in. I’m not sure why it’s closed unless it has something to do with the logging going on nearby. My Fitbit clocked everything at about 5 miles total. I did all the falls, starting with the lower Falls and worked my way up the loop. There are some inclines, which is why I think it was rated moderate. All the falls were breath taking. The trail is well maintained. A few downed trees here and there and I did meet a little snake on the Upper Falls trail switchbacks down to the water. It’s hard to get pictures that capture the size and beauty of this place. Idaho is so underrated...

Loved this trail! It was beautiful, and my kids 4, and 8 loved it. My 4 year old got a little tired on the way back up hill from the lower fall but we all still had a great time.

I went early spring. The road wasn't maintained to the point of the trailhead, so where it says 2 mile round trip, it ended up being 6 miles for me and there was plenty of snow. So based on when I went, I agree that this would be a moderate hike but if I went in summer, it would probably be easy. There are tons of signs on the trails so it's near impossible to get lost. I definitely plan on coming back when the weather is nicer! I absolutely loved the view from the lower falls!

This is a fantastic little place for a day trip. Go in early spring for roaring water runoff and to cure that case of cabin fever. Just be sure to practice safety first because there is some danger. I don’t agree with the moderate rating. If you’re reasonably active this is a simple area to walk.

The pools at the beginning were hottest, but also fairly shallow and more difficult to get to. Still, they were my favorite. You can climb up a bit and lay on the rocks to get showered by the hot water. The second pool was really muddy when we were there, and lukewarm. The third pool was warm and really clear. It's also located in a serene clearing. It was beautiful.
We went at about 10 am on a Sunday. There were only 2 other people on the trail.

Nice easy trail on a good surface. Great photo ops of the Lower and Middle falls particularly. Clear directional signage at junctions. A good walk for "stretching your legs".

Easy hike if you're driving 12 and want a break from the car. Follows the Lochsa river, so you can drop down to the water and sun yourself if interested. The hot pools are about 1.25 miles up the trail; the day I was there at least half a dozen people were relaxing in them.

We went in January and it was perfect. Tuesday afternoon and had the place to ourselves. The temp of the water couldn't have been better either. Definitely worth checking out.

great hike. Got to see 3 waterfalls and was able to swim in the upper falls area.

Can't put into words!!

This trail is great for an afternoon hike. About 3 miles round-trip you get to see 3 different waterfalls. Middle falls is actually the tallest waterfall in Idaho. The upper falls had many people swimming in them during this visit, so if it is a warm day wear a swimsuit and enjoy this activity as well!

We lucked out on what started as a cool rainy morning and turned gorgeous by midday. Entire place to ourselves. Apparently that is unheard of! Talks of the pools flooding had almost scared us away but we managed to find two in great condition.

This was an excellent trail. It wasn't too difficult. We even saw some naked ladies relaxing in one of the hot springs!

3 Hot Springs, close together after an easy walk. One constructed in the river, down the riverbank, next one up in an open flat area and perfect temp when I was there 2 weeks ago, and the third up through the trees and in a very beautiful setting. We saw 3 other groups when we were there on Thursday March 2nd. I'm not sure you'll ever have this place to yourself.

Overall excellent hike to the hotsprings! The trail was well cared for but a little steep and slippery in the snow.

Very short and easy hike into a nice natural hot springs. Two large pools and two other area that have spring water. Not far from Missoula and frequented by locals. Almost too full when we got there, but people dwindled as the day drug on and night set in. The pools are amazing under the stars, just bring a flashlight for your hike out!

I hiked this a few years ago with my dad and it began my love for hiking. You are constantly hiking above and next to the creek which makes for a pleasant view the entire hike even though there is no much tree cover so bring sunscreen. Not a hard hike at all even with all the weight my dad and I brought along with my two uncles. We camped about halfway in a meadow that you really can't miss, I forget the name of it but it is where the Cayuse Creek joins Kelly Creek. Fishing near here is phenomenal and will probably stay that way because of its relative obscurity.

This was our first time going to a hot spring. The travelers we encountered were friendly and very interesting!
It was lightly raining but sitting in the hot spring and feeling the cold rain on your shoulders left you feeling rejuvenated. Will be traveling here again with my pups!

Easy hike. Great soak in pools. Yes, there may be naked people up there but everyone tends to behave. Trail can be muddy so suggest good shoes, not flip flops. Best time is winter

I cannot seem to find the trail to Goat Lake from the Iron Creek Trailhead on this website, but that is the path we took. It was significantly challenging for our group, but this was a bucket list hike for me to complete. With Lyme disease wrecking my joints, we hurried to complete this in August. There was still some snow at the top, and the lake was beautiful and turquoise and Goat Falls was also amazing. I hope I can do this hike again.

Always on my list whenever I go to Missoula. Nice leisurely still to some nice natural hot springs. Pack a couple of cold beers because its a nice place to soak and toss a couple back.
