Best trails in Sutallee Trace Greenspace Corridor, Georgia

This trail starts at the Boling Park Trailhead and follows the White Blazed 'Trace' trail to the Yellow Trail and Purple Trail. The route returns on the Trace Trail. There is a mix of everything on these trails. There is a flat portion along the Etowah River, hillier portions father back in the woods, and a crushed gravel loop for light exercise. Local boy scout troops make bridges and do upkeep of trails. Very well-maintained and beautiful. Trails are well-marked with colors. Please be sure to wear Orange during hunting season.Show more

Please be sure to wear Orange during hunting season. Park at the Hightower Church Trailhead. This well-marked and maintained trail crosses a few creeks and gets close to the Etowah River.Show more

Please note: As of September 2020, portions of this trail will be closed due to timber harvesting, as pine bark beetles destroyed the woods in this area. This trail starts at the Hightower Church trailhead and follows the White Blazed "Trace" Trail up to Huckleberry Hill. The return route follows the Orange Trail to Meadow Road and then follows the Historic 1800's Canton-Sutallee "Trace" Route back to the parking lot.
