I love the Simpsonwood trail because it's basically in my backyard, but also because it's a narrow, dirt path through the forest that isn't heavily trafficked (the city girl I married isn't too wild about it though :-D ). It's a great place to spot deer, & I've run across an occasional snake. My dog loves this walk. Dogs are supposed to be kept on leash, but I usually encounter them off leash. I'm not sure how much longer it can keep it's rustic charm before it's turned into an all-access paved path; until then, it'll stay at the top of my favorites list. Tip: if you come to a crossing & aren't sure which way to go, look for the white markers on nearby trees. They'll keep you on the main trail.
