Great trail along the river!

Beautiful hike but can get crowded. Definitely plan to go early if you want more seclusion. My kids really enjoyed the trail as well.

Great hike! Follows the river the entire way and offers gorgeous views. Definitely wear boots/no slip shoes. Terrain is moderate and can be slippery. Worth the time, travel and energy!

Went today with friends. It was a busy trail. Lots of people were out enjoying the sun and nature. Moderate hike. Very muddy due to all the rain but the water falls were gorgeous. We made it to the end and climbed to the top to see the falls between the cliffs. I am so glad we chose this hike today. Highly recommended. Plan on 3 hours if you want to stop and take pictures along the way.

Love this trail! Easy hike, can be dangerous once you reach the falls if you plan to climb into it or climb further up past the falls. Fell down the waterfall one time, was not fun haha. Otherwise, the view is beautiful and it’s a rather relaxing hike.

Great trail. The final incline at the end of the trail is a bit tricky, but the view is worth it. The trail also follows alongside a river, and my Labrador loved all of the water.

Trail was great! Trail follows water the whole way. Went early and I'm glad I did. Mostly had the trail to myself on the way in but on the way out there was quite a few people on the trail. Weather has been pretty rainy lately so the trail was pretty muddy but easy to follow. Side route to the top of falls is a little intimidating but can definitely be done. Got a little off the trail on the way back down from the top but fairly easy to get back on if you pay attention.

Really enjoyed this trail. Listening to the sound of the water the whole way made it that much better. I would rate this more of an easy-moderate trail. Passed a few families along the way. The multiple waterfalls and cliffs at the end make it a short but enjoyable hike.

Love this trail! Really should be rated as easy - it’s a gorgeous walk along the creek/falls. We saw a couple of water moccasins so be careful wading and swimming. We went on a weekday in August so it wasn’t too crowded, I could see it getting overly trafficked on weekends in summer/fall.

This is always a good, moderate hike. We did it on Christmas Day and wasn't as crowded as I thought. It's one of the most popular hikes in Georgia, so there are often big crowds on nice, warm weekend days. But the colder temps keep many away.

When you get to the falls area, be sure to hike up the hill a bit to see the actual falls, in between the rocks. If you are adventurous, you can climb up the roots on the right or climb/hike farther up the hill and can get to the top of the cliffs, overlooking the falls. You can even hike higher from there. It is a bit dicey, but not dangerous if you are careful.

Is the park open today?

Beautiful falls

Absolutely beautiful the whole way through! It’s so nice walking along the water for most of the hike. There are several falls along the way to stop and admire. The trail is pretty rocky and rooty, which to me is more fun! We went after a rainy couple of days so the trail was muddy and we had to trudge through a few inches of water a couple times, but again, that makes it more fun in my opinion. ☺️ the falls at the end are just gorgeous. You can even have some fun climbing up a bit higher to get a birdseye view if you’re feeling really adventurous.

Beautiful hike! I enjoyed listening to the water the entire time. Trail is well maintained and the falls are easy to get to. I’ll definitely be doing this hike again in the future

Great hike! Water water water!

Be aware that while the trail itself is moderate I believe the distance listed is way off. The map and description indicated a round trip distance of 4.8 miles but to get to the actual falls at the cliff it was 4.8 miles one way.

Well maintained trail and highly trafficked. Would be nice for a trail run if not so crowded.

A must if you in the area. Multiple waterfalls and campsites along the route. Well maintained

This is our new favorite waterfall trail. Several beautiful falls before the big one. Can’t believe how this little creek makes such huge noisy falls. Trail is easy, did some rock hopping to get up to see the falls come through the cliff. Didn’t climb to the top, that looked very steep and treacherous. Started around 10, lots of parking spaces. Finished around 1. Parking was scarce.

Had a great day. Beautiful scenery. Will do again in the near future.

I loved the views on this trail. It was a bit rooty but not bad. I am new to hiking and did the trail with ease. To get the cave with waterfall tho is a boulder climb which may be where you turn around! The bathrooms tho were horrid I held it the entire time because of how bad they were.

My family and I had a great time on this beautiful hike. We love hiking near water and this hike follows the creek more than 90% of the time. My daughters are 6 and 7 and pretty experienced hikers already. This was an easy hike for them and our 2 dog (Vizsla & Yorkie).

Beautiful hike! Did this with my sons last weekend. It was cloud and overcast, so we stayed cool. The falls are a great payoff. I don't recommend climbing to the top of the cliff, it has gotten very dangerous since my last visit a few years ago.

One of my favorite hikes now. The entire hike you’re hiking along a beautiful creek and the incline is easy/moderate until you get to the cliff-which is a very steep and slightly treacherous climb rather than hike but the views to see the waterfall and top of cliff are more than worth it

Great hike! This is one of those hikes where the journey is a enjoyable as the destination...pretty woods, creek crossings, we took our dogs and they loved it as well.

Great hike! I would rate most of the trail easy and very pet/kid friendly. Many photo opportunities of the beautiful waterfalls.
if you want to climb to the top of the falls it is very steep and I would rate it as strenuous.

Beautiful hike with fall color and lots of photo opportunities. Don’t know that I’d rate it as moderate. More like an easy hike. Only a few ups and downs. Passed lots of kids and dogs. Lots of falls along the way. Lots of places to stop and have a picnic. Fall was running heavy after recent rains.

Absolutely beautiful hike and the waterfalls really nice to hear along the way. The leaves were falling and the contrast of colors were so nice. Loved this trail so much!

Wonderful trail! Follows a creek the whole way, so you get interesting scenery around every bend and the constant, calming sound of babbling water. Plus, there's plenty of places to stop, splash in the creek, or just set awhile and relax. Saw a lot of people camping along the trail.

The waterfall at the end was unique, but kind of a let down. But I didn't mind because the hike there and back was fantastic! This was a fairly crowded trail, so recommend going on a weekday if you can. My dog loved it, with plenty of shade and water to splash in so she stayed cool despite the summer heat.

This trail is perfect for all ages! Easy hike in. Just watch out for tree roots. Very unique waterfall. Never seen anything like it. I always wondered what it was like bc of the pictures. This is one you need to see for yourself. The water was flowing real good after Friday’s rain. The fall leaves on the ground made the perfect setting for a beautiful hike!
