great walk with my son who is 5

I wouldn’t call this hike easy. It’s not bad as far as incline goes... it has a couple of relatively steep inclines but nothing crazy... but the trail itself is really narrow at parts and has a lot of rocks, slippery spots, and tree trunks. We hike weekly and I found this a little rough in terms of navigating the terrain. We also had two dogs with us which made the narrow trails difficult to pass. Very pretty and enjoyable tho

Great woodland trail in the middle of suburbia. Recommend that you check out the trail map posted at the kiosk.

You’d never know you were still in Atlanta! It’s breathtakingly beautiful and strenuous! Can really take in the nature around you!

Loved the hike and even got a bit of a workout.

Pretty challenging! A great leg work out as it gets decently steep but steady. Great view of the river.

Good hike. Had maybe 3 hills that were difficult. Few paths that looked well traveled but led no where.

Gets tough in the lower half with narrow walks by the lake. Difficult for trail running in parts with all the roots. But nice view of some swans on the lake.

Wonderful hidden gem for a short walk in the woods. Nice trail to take your dog for a walk.

Some challenging sections, river access

Well maintained trails with plenty of grade changes to keep it interesting. Hugs lake where wildlife and watersports activities are happening all the time in season.

Great trail. We hiked the largest outer loop. At times it got narrow and swampy down by the lake, but most of the trail was wide and well maintained.

Good workout! We took our 3yr old along (he spends a lot of time hiking) and he enjoyed it, too.

Trail was kinda rough and saw a large snake so was nervous for the rest of hike.

Solid trail for a quick hike that’s not too far from Atlanta. Rolling hills and some narrow stretches to keep things interesting but nothing too crazy. Good for all ages.

This is an excellent hike for a lazy Sunday afternoon. The trail system is well marked and maintained. Trail follows the river for a good portion of the hike. We didn't see many people at all on the sunny Sunday afternoon.

Great little trail! Good elevation changes, river views, and trails well maintained.

This trail was well marked. We hiked the full loop. Very hilly, rooty, and overall a great workout! Loved it, I will be back

Going the whole trail, sometimes the path is difficult to see. Going all the way, get ready to climb around a large fallen tree (or climb thru the large hole that the tree left).
It is nice and cool, especially by the water with wind blowing. STOP, take time to admire the forest.

Great workout. The trail is well-maintained. However, there is a great deal of uneven terrain and quite a few obstacles (lots of roots, downed trees, etc.). Beautiful views of Bull Sluice Lake and the surrounding area. Even on a Sunday afternoon it wasn't very crowded.

Great loop trail. Well-marked throughout with lots of little areas that take you the water edge. Path gets incredibly narrow along water. Lots of wildlife. Be mindful of your steps - very “root-y” through almost entire trail.

Great hike with scenic views of both the river and wildlife. Numerous turtles and geese fill the area with life.

This is one of my favorite hikes that’s super close to home. I do this hike about twice a week for a nice little cardio exercise. Not too many difficult hills, balanced in general. Usually very peaceful, not a ton of people here on a weekday afternoon.

Great hike and well maintained paths.

Beautiful hike with lots of options within the system. Long 4+ plus miles to short 1 mile easy loop. Big minus...dog poo. All over the path and in bags. Pickup after yourself.

Spent Saturday afternoon in early March on the trail with my Golden Retriever. Nice view of the river through out. Less traffic gets little challenging in the 2nd half. Overall a fantastic way to spend your afternoon

Can’t wait to come back and do this Trail in the spring. Lovely views of the river, nice woods, moderately challenging terrain. Lovely
