Nice easy walk with river views towards the end. Don’t get tempted by the bacon cooking from the nearby rv campers!

Very short hike. More like a walk in the park. Has a few swings to rest and sit in nature. Very nice.

Dog friendly easy trail to get out. Others were good at social distancing. Parks are open but know that all facilities are closed. Easy walk and lots if places to wander off trail a bit.

Very nice trail, little bits of lake view on a good, well paved loop. Downside, it’s in a state park there is a $5 fee.

Nice hike.

nice lake views but definitely not a moderate trail; it's very easy and only has one minor hill.

Great trail. It is marked moderate, although it was pretty easy. Some parts were on a upward hill. Got a beautiful view of the lake. Access to the lake at some parts. Nice hike!

I pushed a wheelchair around the trail it wasn't to bad but for one hill it was petty steep but I did make it up and we saw 2 deer at the top of it. We did enjoyed it.

Good trail. Half paved half unpaved. One steep hill overlaps a different trail.

Slightly confusing on where the trail ends. I ended up taking a trail to a road and found my way back to the trail trough the RV campground. Over all shaded and clear trail.

Actual distance is 1.9 miles. Stay left at fork where the person originally marking map turned around. Trail ends at a boat dock. Beautiful park and trail. Well maintained. Trail is groomed in most places. Lake view almost entire hike.

This was a nice trail - well marked. Dirt trail along the lake.

Nice trail clearly marked In a new and very clean state park. If you take Terrapin (marked red) to the end and cross over the boat ramp parking lot- you’ll find another trail (marked white) and you’ll easily get another mile in along the lake (we recorded a total of 2.7 mi). The white trail ends behind some cottages, you can either take the road crossing right to the boat ramp parking lot (maybe a couple hundred feet) and get back on terrapin or turn around and go back. Easy least. Dog friendly, too!

New Wide paths scenic lake and woods. I met my girlfriend on a group hike there. You can hike then go swimming or kayaking!

great trail for a family with small kids

I really enjoyed this hike. Quiet and peaceful. Saw several deer, and a wonderful fern valley with creek.

Ok for a trail. It’s short and no air flow. Not really that scenic. Good for children and an easy short hike.

Asphalt path. Maintained very well. We took a jogging stroller and had no issues.

Very short asphalt trail to a trio of swinging benches. Might be wheelchair accessible, but it gets steep at the end. Trees block any real view of Lake Lanier, especially in the summer. Does connect with the more substantial Terrapin Cove Trail, but hiking only this trail is only a good option if you really do not want to hike.

Short rolling out-and-back along Lake Lanier. Has a few hills, but on the easy side of moderate due to the length. Marked with red rectangular metal markers. No real outstanding features, but still the best hike at Don Carter State Park.

Short walk beside the river and passing some campgrounds. I wouldn't do this again, not really much to see here.

Short trail from the visitors center that has about 3 swings and also connects to Terrapin Cove Trail. Paved and accessible for wheel chairs.

Easy trail, paved and maintained. Loved the little side trail that lead to a bench near a small creek.
