Not a soul - easy first half - criss crosses river and water falls then the climb up, moderate. Killer views over north and north west ga- some sweet camping spots along the river as well as at the top of the knob - mapped it on the way back though cause it was a little wonky at the knob spur - more like a 8.6 miler total in and out.

Easy, quick, nice waterfall

Easy, pretty waterfall

This hike is incredible to say the least. The first 1.7 miles are absolutely brutal, but once you get on the first ridge it's completely worth every minute of your pain and suffering. This is one of those hikes that reminds you of all the good and bad. If your young and in top notch shape, there is no bad. If you're not up to one heck of a challenge then don't even attempt this trail. Blood Mountain and Yonah Mountain are a walk in the park compared to this but well worth it if you have it in you. To say it's tough is a understatement, but the terrain along the way and the views cancel out everything else.

I took the Jack's Knob trail from the lower lot to the summitt. It was a slow burner, easy but, eventually you start feeling the ascent in your lungs and calves. One of my all time favorite summitt views.

Straight up but goes quick. Very developed but the views are worth the trip.

Good short hike. Nice waterfall.

Trekked East from the Appalachian Highway 76 in Cherry Log on section seven. Very easy walk starting out with gravel roads. Talked to some nice folks while hiking!

We did the loop counterclockwise June 10, 2018. The loop overall is a good workout but nothing too strenuous up or down. The trail was well marked and in pretty good shape. There are some spots with tall grass grown up but nothing that bad. Most of the water sources are at the beginning (clockwise) or end (counterclockwise). There are no really notable features, but we did see a few turtles, crawfish and an orange salamander. If you live in the Westside area of Whitfield County it certainly is a good option if you want a couple hours of hiking. The trail was very quiet and if you like quiet trails this is one for you. There were several wildflowers along the trail particularly in power line fields you cross 2 times.

The access is pretty easy off of 136 between Villanow and LaFayette via a gravel Forrest service road. There are just a few rough spots. The road is narrow and meeting a vehicle in certain spots can present challenges.

beautiful waterfall .... easy hike .... too many people

It’s a great exercise trail and perfect for biking.

The trail is no longer a loop. A simple up and back. Nothing spectacular to see. It is easy/moderate and a nice hike but no real points of interest. Personally I was hoping for views like the pictures uploaded but this is a wall in the woods. Nice, but nothing special.

What an incredible trail! Featuring waterfalls, a beautiful peak, and plenty of wildlife opportunities. I'd have to agree with another reviewer who mentioned this trail as being one of the most beautiful in Ga. Plenty of water sources easily accessible from the trailside. I would recommend staying stocked with water, I went through about 3 liters going up and down. The hike was strenuous at times, but what's a trail without a good challenge?

If you click the Directions arrow through Google Maps, it does not take you to the lower parking area with the easiest access to the trail. The link takes you to the upper which is a 2 mile forest service road walk. The trail is beautiful once you arrive on it.

We didn’t complete this trail- we made it about halfway with our kids. Still great and would love to come back and hike the entire thing. Kids were worn out about a mile in. Steady incline.

Been going to the lake my whole life and always wanted to hike this trail.... did it today!!! It is uphill to the tower and you can walk up the stairs to the first landing for a good view. The good news is it’s all downhill going back out;) It is a beautiful trail. Saw squirrels and deer. Camped 3 days at the lake. Gorgeous week!!!!

Beautiful trail the entire way. Scenery changes from creek, to fern covered forrest to rock covered trail making it to the summit. Great views! On the way back the turn onto Duncan Ridge Trail can easily be missed if other hikers are stepping aside for you to pass. The sign is set back some off the AT & facing more toward other direction.

great 360 view

Easy trail that my dog loved. Camped right down the road too at a huge campsite alone!

Just back from the lower trail of green mountain. Easy walk up to the end of the trail where you can see blue ridge lake. Beautiful . It’s Friday and passed by 3 persons. Ideal with my dog. Also close to downtown blue ridge for food and drink when done.

Beautiful hike, first two miles can be a pretty unforgiving incline, but once you start to make elevation is really pays off with beautiful views. My dog however, came back with over 30 ticks! Recommended, but check for ticks when you get home!

Nice trail, well maintained. Either way you loop is nice. A trail for a stroll, not very difficult.

Wasn’t really a hike, or at least I didn’t see the trails. People were mainly there for fishing and swimming in the waterfall. Great area to swim around in.

Great downhill trail with lots of technical features and many creek crossings. Some crossings required carrying the bike. Brush growth with hinder riding this summer without some trail maintenance.

I really liked this trail, It has waterfalls and plenty of overlooks. We had the entire trail to ourselves except for around the falls.

We had an amazing hike today out of Vogel State Park to Blood Mountain. Hiking up, we only saw one other hiker, who guided us when we weren't sure which path to take. We saw this same hiker at the top, along with about 10 thru hikers. The trail was well marked and seemed to have some new signs for Blood Mountain. It was definitely a strenuous uphill the whole way out! Well worth the hike, great views from the top and a good workout!

Truly my moderate trail. Some parts are narrow but I personally like it like that. Will definitely be back.

The trail was a nice, quick, easy hike. the waterfall was very pretty and not too far up the trail.

good trail. We went clockwise. I recommend counter clockwise if you don't like steep climbs. took the dogs and they were off leash all day. gives them time to explore. nothing extremely exciting about it other than being able to let the dogs run.
