Nice quick trail. Pretty views of Chattanooga. The bottom portion is good for running.

not really my style but the trails are easy and straight forward.

Beautiful scenery and history. Mostly flat trail.

Definitely a muddy trail after recent rain. Just follow the yellow trail markers. The recorded trail on here is incorrect. If you follow the yellow trail till the end and then turn back it's about 3 miles.

A good little trail. If you follow the directions on the park's website it's about a 5 mile loop. Go on a dry day. Otherwise the trail gets pretty muddy, and when we went it was washed out near the creek where the yellow and red trails merge so we had to turn back. Overall, it's an easy hike and would be beautiful on a nicer day.

Love this park. Beautiful, quiet and I always see deer when I'm on the back trails. Lot of history in the park as well.

Beautiful trail, I really enjoyed it. However, there are hardly any trail markers or signs to keep you on the Hardy trail. I had to ask around to find the trailhead and missed a turn along the trail which led me far from Hardy trail. There's a V in the trail about a mile or so in, and you need to take a right. There are no signs at that split, but left is definitely not Hardy. Otherwise, very nice trail and very peaceful.

Started at 730am and finished about 5. With 22 boys and 7 adults. Scout trip and we finished with everyone and no accidents. These trails are clean and well maintained. nice views and a lot of info throughout. I would recommend this park and trails to any one.

From what I can tell there are 5 trails in Chickamauga Battlefield...General Bragg Trail, Cannon Trail, Confederate Line Trail, Memorial Trail & Historical Trail. I have been all though the park, but I got a lil mixed up on the trails when I was there so I'm not even sure where I walked really. Looking at the map now it looks like I probably walked on all of them that day at some point lol Need to go back with a trail map next time, but honestly it was fun to just go & wander the battlefield all day. :)

First third is on a rocky vehicle-wide trail. Last 2/3 is one person-wide, mostly dirt trail.
Get to pass under the Incline railway track twice (second is only feet from the train itself).

This trail is on hallowed ground. We just arrived in the area and used the app to find a 3 mile walk. This popped up. We should have stopped in the visitors center to get a better feel for the trails. We walked nearly a mile, then the trail split 3 ways. We had to guess which was the best way for the "advertised" loop. It wasn't and we ended up taking a trail less traveled that took us deep into the woods. Fortunately, the app helped us find our way back to the trail. All in all, an easy trail that combines history and reminders of the lives lost to form this great nation into a union.

This hike was ok. Not a lot of elevation changes or terribly interesting scenery. It was actually over 6 miles even though we ventured (by accident) over to south chickamauga creek which provided something to look at. From a history point of view, I'm sure it's pretty neat as there are tablets all along the trail to read. We live 10 mins. away so it proved to be a good afternoon local hike.

There are four entries to this trail. I enjoy running this trail because it is wide and kept nice year round. great parking off of Ruby Falls parking lot.

I grew up around this area and my elementary school would take field trips to the battlefield frequently. There are not many places to feel exactly alone there but there are some fairly nice hidden gems scattered throughout the area like the wild cross monument you may just happen upon while hiking through. Nice trails for running, good distances for moderate to easy runs. Great place to take the kids and plenty of deer to enjoy spotting once in a while too. If you are looking for a place to just get away for a short while and relax this area is not bad and not very challenging but worth the price of admission. It's free.

Great trail with great History lesson.. Only downside horses really destroy the trail in certain sections of the trail.. I would stay on hike only trails..
