Nice paved trail with some river views. Took off a couple stars because I could hear the traffic from the highway on a lot of the walk.

The first section is busy with swimmers and people fishing, and several of the back sections pass very near the homes in the area. Almost all flat except some very minor grades in the loops at the far end. Lots of muddy sections from recent rain. Average quality forest. Some pretty river views along the way and good signage and bridges.

We didn't get to finish the trail due to a sudden storm. But from what we did get to do it was enjoyable. definitely do-able with small children.

The lake at the end of the trail is technically private property, I didn't go down to the lake, I just turned around. beautiful either way, nice short easy walk surrounded by nature with a paved trail

Very disappointing. Unkept trail. Lots of trash, beer cans , liquor bottles. Seems like a place drunk kids hang out at

This is a very nice trail. The direction I went is slim, a lot of greenery, and hilly. It’s ALL GOOD I’ll be back.

Pets are allowed on leash according to the trail signs. It’s a very confusing trail however and really muddy. The maps are oriented in a strange way.

Fun trail, lots to see. Easy hike with small uphills. Nice one to do if you want to get a short one in and enjoy nature.

Boring as some others are saying, but if you’re in the area it’s worth a stop. Due to the closure for COVID and lower traffic, I have been riding my bike on the trail. There are quite a bit of trails not marked on the map, that can help make this more of a loop. Quite a few pipe crossings if you go down the middle, creek / water crossings if you venture into the woods. At the end you can see the dam, and see across the river where people are laying out or letting their dogs in the water.

The pathway here is paved so there were some people riding bikes. It has a small waterfall & beach area with was awesome for us & the dogs. We spotted a crane (bird) in the river. I will definitely be back but next time I’m bringing stuff for a picnic!

Great trail for all types. Wonderful loop trail in the woods along the Chattahoochee just off the bob Callahan trail. This loop connects to a nice mountain so expect a slight change of elevation to get the heart pumping. If you veer off and keep going up the mountain you can walk for another 30 minutes to reconnect to another section of the Chattahoochee. There’s a few wet spots but you can easily steer clear of them and progress to the more enjoyable sections. Typically less traffic on the woods trail than the pathed area. Not much of a view due to the growth, but a nice place to enjoy some quiet for a bit.

This isn’t hiking, this is urban . Although it’s a nice, easy trail, there is trash everywhere. All-in-all a good little quick “hike” but not really great for enjoying nature among all of the fast food wrappers and cups.

This was one of the only hiking trails in Atlanta that was open. Most other places are closed due to CoVID-19. It was our first time and we loved it. It was a very pleasant paved path along the river that wasn't too long. There is a great spot to get in the river or sun bathe on rocks in the river.
