For hiking this should be rated as easy. good for a dog walk, not a moderate hike.

I take my dogs here almost daily. There are a couple of entrances to the trail in the surrounding area, so there is variety (although Haynes Bridge can be difficult to get out of depending on the day).

Lots of great trails, but it takes a while to figure out where you are going.

Fairly well marked shaded nature trail connects to Big Creek Greenway for a total 3 mile walk. Watch signs carefully to stay on no bike trail. Mountain bikers won't slow down for you if you get on their MBT.

Blue sky Saturday, alone, fast hike!

Many roots and soggy in rain. Okay though

It’s bit confusing at some points because many trails are overlapping each other. Otherwise, it is a perfect hike.

I would not rate this moderate if you are used to being outdoors and active. this is a fairly flat concrete trail. Not a bad walk for sure. but not a moderate hiking trail either.

Easy trail once you can find the hiking, no bike trail.

More crowded than I prefer with lots and lots of bike riders. Ok for a quick hike.

Constant sounds of traffic and a steady stream of bikes made this a two star hike. It is pretty and trails are well-maintained but we won’t be returning.

The trail itself is great but if you plan on going in the water at all check the dam release schedule. A grown man passed away my first time here by wading into the water to untangle his fishing line from a tree and got swept away. Very tragic.

Very easy long trail

Great trail. Many options to take on the trial. Visiting from another state. I would recommend it but put mosquito spray on before you ride. They were out today.

Park as soon as you turn off Old Alabama for the 1.4 mile hiking trail - easy walk in wooded area. Drawback was the drone of traffic in the background and rather monotonous scenery.

Easy 16 mile round trip. Flat ride. Good workout, but watch for heavy traffic during good weather and weekends.

woods and rivers, plus you can't see the road which is great being in a city.

Beautiful this time of year. Moderate amount of people, but worth the time. Wonderfully maintained so us out of towners enjoyed it thoroughly. Ran 8.5 mi

I was first unimpressed at the start. But the more I walked, the more I became pleasantly surprised with the scenery changes. The concrete walk changed to a boardwalk through wetlands and then back to a concrete walk along Big Creek. I also admired the beauty of the marsh area. Dog friendly. Benches and Poop Bags are available.

We couldn't figure out how to get to the longer loop so our hike was only 1.5 miles and was VERY easy. Good "walk" for little kids and dogs, but there are tons of bike riders if you go off the pedestrian trail

It's beautiful out here. Great trails. Love the greenway as well.

It was a decent trail but short. Great for those who want to bike and many more trails for mountain biking than hiking. I couldn't find the trail marked "outer loop" that showed a 4.78 mile hike.

Great trail! Everything from beginner to advanced.

The paved trail is ok, but big creek is great not because of the paved trail, but the awesome xc and free ride mountain bike trails located in the park. Big Creek also offers decent dirt running/walking trails.

The trail was clean and easy to find. it is all gravel so no mud. Easy walk, just watch for bikes because their trails intersect the walking trail.
