Topsail Hill offers a wide variety of natural resources including 3.2 miles of secluded, white sand beaches with majestic dunes over 25 feet tall. Three rare coastal dune lakes provide excellent freshwater fishing. Although boats are not allowed, fishing from the shoreline yields bass, bream, panfish, and catfish. Lakes, pristine beaches, old-growth long leaf pines, sand pine scrub, and a variety of wetlands offer a bird-watching and hiking paradise. Visitors may bike, walk, or enjoy a quick ride to the beach on our timely tram service to swim, fish, sunbathe, or beachcomb. Gregory E. Moore RV resort features a (non-heated) swimming pool and shuffleboard courts. Furnished bungalows are available for weekly stays. A camp store offers a variety of camping items, as well as snacks and drinks.

Topsail is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! I travel here every year and it is always a serene and beautiful experience! There are coastal dune lake and lots of trails through pine forests. I always see an abundance of wildlife! Hike out to Cambell Lake it is mesmerizing! I read the landscape here is only found in a handful of places in the world! It feels exotic and out of this world!

This was a great park... but you will have to pay to get in. There are paved parts and their are dirt trails as well. I had planned to bike the big loop, but it became much to sandy once I got off the paved roads. So be aware that the unpaved trails are mostly for hiking, not biking. This means the actual paved part of the park that is available for biking is limited and short. you can kinda ride the paved trail over and over as I did to get up to about 10 miles in total.

At the end where you walk onto the beach is actually awesome.. I great place to sit and relax after the bike ride.

I Google Earth measured the highlighted trail section and at most it is 5 to 5.5 miles long, where is the rest of it? I have not actually hiked it yet.

We happened along this trail while walking down the 30A beach. It has lovely views of the sand dunes and beach. Once in the woods the trail markers are sparse. Bring a trail app or at the very least have your Google maps going. For car-less hikers this trail can get you from the beach on 30A to Walmart on 98.

If this trail exists, it exists only on private (i.e. 'NO TRESPASSING') land. The directions to the trailhead are all blocked by electronic gates and No Trespassing / Private Property sign.

This trail should be deleted from the registry so no other folks drive all the way over there to be disappointed.

Was station at Eglin AFB for EOD School, but opted to live in Destin. Literally went out fishing in the bay every, single, weekend! If you have a military ID, you can cart your boat over to the marina on base, if not, there is a free one (space tentative) on the back side of Destin, and one over by the Emerald Grand (biggest building in Destin.. can't miss it) for a nominal fee (parking is limited). White Point is an amazing spot to fish, situate yourself about 300 yards off the point closer to the bridge and you're guaranteed to tear into some Speckled Trout, Pompano Jack or Spanish Mackerels! Many many many bayous to be explored, and Crab Island at the end of the busy season is Redfish heaven! Seeing a school of hundreds of reds moving around is pretty wild!
