This is probably more of a 2.5 than a 3 rating. Not a bad trail, but it intersects with some roads through the public use area, which is also used for fishing. Those dirt roads are wide open and very hot in the summer, and you might be eating dust if someone drives by with a boat. Fortunately, there aren't many of those spots. The western part of the trail is also near a gun range, so depending on when you go, get used to the gun shots in that area. The trail can be a little rough in spots with roots and vines that can trip you up if you're not careful. Watch out for wild pigs too. They can be ornery and I don't think I've ever been out here where I didn't see them or hear them. They're responsible for some of the uneven trail conditions. Bring bug spray and a lot of water in the summer. You'll need it.
