Can you fish here?

Mostly brush and woods, only afforded two real views of the river. Well kept and marked trail.

Well marked and clear trails with nice picnic areas. Not that interesting of a hike though. Lots of sign of wild boar, but the sinkhole is overgrown and not much to look at. Also the mosquitoes were moderately annoying.

Very nice park. Bugs were not an issue which is surprising since it is so close to water. There were a few mosquitos as we crossed over the swampy area. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see any monkeys this time around. But we very much enjoyed the hike.

It was a cool hike. Seemed like a normal hike until I started seeing the swamp, that was awesome!! A bridge led me over the swamp to the Silver River. I met boaters, saw kayakers. I heard the monkeys but didnt see them. I would like to go back to see monkeys. As far as the trail it was easy, no spiders ;-) well maintained. I would like to go back and try and see the monkeys. Their there ... somewhere!

Nice easy trail wich is part of a bigger trail system within Silver Springs State Park. Typical Florida ecosystems around a large sink hole which is located on the southern half of loop.

Looks like the Swamp and River Trails are combined here. They're both great.

This is a great out and back trail that will bring you from the campground/museum area to the headwaters of the Silver River. Some of the trail is shaded but at least half of the trail had no tree cover so you are hiking in the full Florida sun. The trail is mostly hardpacked with some of the trail being soft sand.

This is a nice walk on mostly hard pack trail with some sections being loose sand. Lots of wildlife spotted and signs of wild Boar so be on the look out.

Nice hike. One of the best views is the overlook at the crystal clear Silver river. Great spot to watch for alligators, fish and birds.
