Paddle sports

Easy paddle/float with kayaks. Current moves you down. Put in at Silver Springs and paddled to Rays Bridge. Saw gators, manatees early on and a monkey. lots of turtles, birds, etc. all the way. Temps in the high 50s. Beautiful day, blue skies, a little wind but not badand scenery. A few other people and 2-3 motorized boats. Definitely glad we did it and will be back again.

Walking

A nice quiet walk in the woods. Only two views of the river though. Flat and wide trail, well marked and well maintained. There is a picnic table at the river where you have a landing area for your river fun. No bugs, no monkeys but did spot a 3 foot Eastern indigo snake on the trail.

Not 34 miles...just saying. It is approximately 10 miles round trip.

Hiking

Nice combo trails (4 miles) with plenty of shade, only a couple of wet spots on River trail to hike around, and a pretty boardwalk in the middle of the Swamp Trail.

Hiking

Well marked and clear trails with nice picnic areas. Not that interesting of a hike though. Lots of sign of wild boar, but the sinkhole is overgrown and not much to look at. Also the mosquitoes were moderately annoying.

Nice easy trail wich is part of a bigger trail system within Silver Springs State Park. Typical Florida ecosystems around a large sink hole which is located on the southern half of loop.

Hiking

This is a great out and back trail that will bring you from the campground/museum area to the headwaters of the Silver River. Some of the trail is shaded but at least half of the trail had no tree cover so you are hiking in the full Florida sun. The trail is mostly hardpacked with some of the trail being soft sand.

This is a nice walk on mostly hard pack trail with some sections being loose sand. Lots of wildlife spotted and signs of wild Boar so be on the look out.
