Description

Freshwater marshes, or 'savannas,' this park is the largest and most intact remnant of Florida's east coast savannas. Visitors can learn about the importance of this unique and endangered natural system at the Environmental Education Center. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of activities such as canoeing, kayaking, and fishing in the wetlands. Picnic tables are available near the center. There are over eight miles of multi-use trails providing opportunities for hiking, bicycling, and horseback riding. Guided walks and canoe trips are available by reservation.
