Nice view on the levee. Worth the short walk. Winter walk was good. Few sandy spots here and there. Overall enjoyable trip

parking is now on 464c across from dam diner and walking entrance is at far back corner where the yellow blaze trail has been extended. a great hike!

A nice August, Saturday morning walk in the woods. The trail was well maintained but grassy. Not a single tick. Saw a hawk and lots of deer tracks (horses too). First car in the lot, saw no one else on the trail and no cars when we got back. Pleasant trail close to home, will be back to do this more often.

The hurricane did quite a bit of damage from the last time i walked it but still a beautiful trail and good hike

easy trail, mostly hard packed sand and some grassy areas. saw a hawk and lots of other birds. a few hundred feet into the trail that veers off the red trail there’s a small creek, saw a deer there. overall beautiful

Very easy trail

I'm basing the review as a hiker. I saw several horseback riders and an off-road biker, for which the trails seem better suited. Hiking, the trails aren't very scenic and tend to meander until coming to a sudden end, whether reaching a neighborhood or simply stopping at some point. So you turn around and try another. Eventually I ended up along Old Celery Farm Road (the main portion of Levee Trail) which has a nice view of the prairie and an observation deck. I certainly do not regret the hike, but it lacks the beautiful views you can find in other nearby trails, or the feel of "destination" you want in a there and back trail.
