good day for riding.

Best Trail that I've ridden in Florida so far. Fast, smooth (no potholes) with rolling hills. Going through tunnels and the landbridge over I75 was a blast. It does have many other hiking, biking & equestrian trails crossing the paved trail but didn't seem to be a problem. There were signs noteing high bear activity but none were seen. The only down side,I only saw one restroom at the beginning of trail. There could have been more?

Good trail! Pretty narrow in a few spots, but flat, soft, and not very technical. It was a nice laid back run!

Great ride with the hubby! broke our 24 mile time wind and all!!!

I got here early, about 7:45, and I had the place to myself. Lots of shade. Very good.

My daughter tends to over-heat very easily so we have to make sure any hikes we take are well shaded, and this was. When shes a little older we will get some bikes and try out those trails as they looked awesome. lots of variety and little challenge courses, etc. The only real downside was the tons and tons of poison ivy along the edges of the walking trail, so if you're very allergic (like my husband, if he just looks at posion ivy he breaks out) stick to the paved sections of trail. Otherwise it was very nice and we will utilize it again in the future.

Great little hike for a family. watch for horses and bikers.

F T out and horse trail or multi purpose back. We did horse trail making this walk 5.5 miles.

Awesome place for all skill levels. Well maintained. Will definitely be back.

Awesome sights along the F T section, horse trail back can be a challenge. will do it again!

The bike ride is worth the look for it. It is not well marked to find at trail head. The path is newly paved, wraps around and under and over roads, gets hilly with little shade. I did glimpes a bear in field were pheasants flew up. Its best to ride in fall and winter.

Nice tree covered in most areas, winding curvy paths. would like to have more painted on the path markers. it's worth the stop and ride!

A little confusing getting started from the parking lot. Head southwest of the parking lot to pick up trail. Beautiful oak forest with unique trees. Travel over land bridge over I75. Follow orange/foot trail signs.

We couldn’t find the actual mapped trail, but where we did walk was lovely.

Awesome trails! Something for every level...and I do mean every level beginner-Pro!

Beautiful hiking trails!! If you keep going at the end of this trail onto the Florida National Scenic trail you come across some really cool terrain, which is a bit hilly and rugged. We saw deer and a few signs suggest high bear activity, but we did not see any of them. Bring bug spray!!

I’ve never been here early. It was chilly high 30s but beautiful. I always wish I had more time

Well marked, not a lot of bugs, we didn't see much wildlife but we had a 3 year old and a puppy, it was also mid day.

Short hike. Beautiful weather.Seen more people on the trail. Which is good.

the Ross Prairie horseback riding trails are varied. They have a carriage Trail. a red Trail which has a more difficult terrain, it is near the digs. There are other Trails that intersect so you can try them out and go many times with out riding the same Loop every time. There is fresh water for the horses and a wash rack to tie them to rinse them off. Plenty of parking for trucks and horse trailers.

This is a very well maintained and well trafficked trail. Nicely paved, well marked trails. It is a great trail for 1/2 marathon training, slight inclines and declines with level road in between. I will definitely be coming back!

Well maintained and enjoyable. Multi use paved trail . Will do over and over again.

biked this trail to the 6 mi mark and it is BEAUTIFUL. Can't wait to go back. Rented bikes at the shop across the street from the start of the trail. Great place to rent and they were really helpful. We are two over 65 y/o and did well considering neither of us had been on a bicycle in 40 years. Can't wait to go back.

This map shows the trail from the Land Bridge to 49th street, to ShangriLa, to Ross Prairie, across 200 to Pruitt Trailhead... Pictures are out dated, the new Florida Trail (paved bike) also runs parallel but does not interfere with the horse trails...each trailhead above can be accessed by auto and all are good starting points across Ocala FL

Nice, shaded easy, narrow, loop hike. Minimal elevation, slash pine, sand dunes and lots of banana spiders. Also beginning of trail (approximately 1 mile) is shared with trail bicyclists.

Great facilities for horseback riders. Sizable grass parking area with lots of shade, wash rack, watering hole and restrooms. Lots of well marked trails and access to the unique Land Bridge that takes you over I-75.

This is a really nice road bike trail with multiple mountain bike trails that cross the road bike trail. if you are a South Floridian beware that there are some hills. bring plenty of water, bug spray and suntan lotion especially in the summer.
