The bridges have been fixed on the paved side. On the off road portion there is a few trees across the trail some have a path around and some make you climb over them. There is a creek around mile 5 that is 1-2 foot deep but it’s crossable. Past that it gets very messy and pretty much impassable without walking your bike through. The standing water looks shallow but there are some very deep holes. The challenges make the ride pretty fun.

Bridge is out for repair. Only a small portion is open.

Trail bridges are closed on the paved portion and trees have fallen and blocked the path through the woods... very disappointing

was a nice walk until we found out the bridge was closed till further notice so turned around only got 2 miles in

Attempted to do Hillsborough River however the trail was too muddy.

Old Fort King still had a lot of trees down over the trail which required climbing over or under. Seen a few alligators and lots of birds, nice trail.

I only had time for a 3.75 walk but all in all it was very nice. Only 0.5 miles are paved and there is a wide "shoulder" you can walk on. It's an equine trail so most is shaded which is great for the summers here. I want to do the next segment which looks almost all wooded.

The trail isn't bad but the road walking sucks.

There are two ways you can skip the paved walkway. There is a horse trail that parallels the paved trail. The other is you can park two miles up at the end of the paved trail.

had nice boardwalk out to river which was short walk. trails were just okay, obviously this area is geared more toward horseback and bike riding rather than hiking. there is a nice boat/canoe launch right at main parking area.

Trail ran this one out and back, starts off on pavement then dirt trail, cross a street/highway two times each way (they have the buttons to push to stop traffic). We went 2 days after it rained so there were some large puddles (just over my ankles at some of them) that ran off into the woods on each side of trail, no way around but through them. If you want to do the whole trail make sure to check the weather and dress accordingly, if it has rained in the past week you will be walking through some deep mud or water. There are some parts of this trail that are open but most of the trail is covered with a tree canopy from sun beating down on you. I'll be definitely going back to do this trail again. Flat and fast for trail running.

Trail was mud in places and cross a small stream. Started at Hillsborough River SP on a bike.

Very nicely laid out. My son and I hiked it twice in two days. A lot of off chutes into the woods that were a nice off the beaten path adventure.

The trail begins at the John B Sargeant Sr Park. There I paid $2.00 to park my vehicle. Once you begin the trail you have to cross US 301 there are warning lights installed to warn drivers but you still have to be very careful. A little over 2 miles later you once again have to cross the street and that is where the pavement ends and the off road portion begins. When I first started the trail I did not know about the off road portion and I was a little surprised. It had just finished raining so the ground was very wet and made biking difficult. The park located at the trail head has bathrooms and plenty of parking and there are also benches located along the paved portion of the track.
