The lake with observation tower is very pretty. I would like to do the whole loop in the winter as I had to turn around because of heat and most of the trail is in the sun. The trail was pretty and easy for walking, and made me want to keep going.

Nice to do if you live nearby or are in the area!

The observation tower was breathtaking! The trail itself was mainly pinewood flats without much variation. A nice smooth ride for a nature trail. Good for just cruising. Better to go in the cooler months to avoid bugs, and heat. Hardly any shade on the trail. I didn’t do the full loop like I had intended due to hunting season and a bit of unpreparedness. I will definitely return with a friend next time! Being a SWF doesn’t scare the bears or the drunk rednecks out there!

We did the red trail. Saw a couple deer, wild turkey. Lake is pretty.

Very enjoyable system of trails, primarily through wooded areas. Bring bug spray!! We had to ditch our first attempt there after a mile due to the ravenous hordes of mosquitos. Better in drier weather. Easy trails, easy to find and follow. A good afternoon of casual hiking.
