Great ride. I parked a little further down the road and biked to gatorhook trail head and back. I didn't see any other bikers. There were some cars doing the scenic drive so be prepared for some dust. Overall very pleasant with lots a vegetation, birding and Gators.

We had a perfect day of late dry season weather for roadside nature viewing through beautiful and variable habitats. These Seminole lands are a side of south Florida often overlooked and forgotten. The Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki museum and broad walk are a must for those who want to learn more about Native American history.

Did I ever mention that I am not into reptiles. But I must admit that the Seminole Tribe was interesting.

You really get the feeling of the everglades on this road without having to get out in it.

Of all the things I love, woods, mountains, evergreens, this was not any of them. I was surprised to see so many people on bicycles..

Out in the Big Cypress. Quite an interesting ride.

Nice ride.

Nice drive. Very unique area.

We have done this drive several times. We used to spend a week near Marco Island and would go to the Everglades or across. The preserve is scenic old Florida wetland. See how many gators you can count.

I came down here a few years ago. Never saw the bobcats, but deer, alligators, birds and other animals were abundant.

The loop road is 22 miles from the first entrance to the second entrance of the tamiami trail. If you plan to do this trail you should have two cars ( one on each entrance since they are 20 miles apart ). You can choose to go back the 22 miles of dirts road again or the 20 miles of paved tamiami trail back to your car.

I never done by bike but want to go. I have only done by car about 5 times

I have gone here for canoe and kayak fishing in Country Road 841. You can cacth here snook and other species that live in salty/sweet intracoastal waters. There are alligators around so becarefull.

gravel road that passes through beautiful water passes in the everglades where you can take pictures and see more of the beauty of the park with out getting dirty and from the security of your car. This road can be done also by bicycle if you are into the sport.

I like very much this road and i have seen deers, bobcats, alligators and many other species of the everglades.

Going hunting here hope to get a big one.

I'm afan of drives that take you off the Interstate, and let you see REAL America. Though this drive has a touristy aspect, You get to see a part of the coast overlooked by a lot of tourists, and you get some exposure to the way Everglades life developed and evolved. An airboat ride and stone crab are essential parts of this trip.

This is the best way to see the everglades short of a ride on an air-boat. The swamp comes right up to the road in most areas, and the Seminole Tribe has a great glimpse into Native American culture in Florida including alligator wrestling, crafts, food, etc.
