We took our dog and hiked around, and while it was beautiful- the insects and ticks were really bad in the summer. Be sure to check yourself after hiking! We did not have any ticks embed, but we found 7 on us and our dog.

Very nice loop as well as many side trails. You can see many trees in multiple stages of life as well as some meadow type area in between the pines. This was an enjoyable winter hike. As a local to the area, I would recommend heavy bug spray in the summer months.
I did not give full 5 stars due to the fact that nothing is marked. I had to rely on the gps to lead the way down the many winding trails.

Trail is not marked and is a sandy service road. Not the worst thing, but wasn't expecting. Redeeming quality was the large forest pines out there.

Did a 13.2 mile run there the other Saturday, and didn't see a single other person. There are lots of side trails and lanes cut in that you can explore.

Nice clear trails, beautiful pines. But did not like the fact nothing is marked, no signs or trail markers.

Great area the trail allows you to walk, bike or horseback. Its well kept, very quiet and has alot of parking and port a pottys at the beginning of the trail. The drive is not toooooo bad from Ocean City, MD, and its less than 2 miles from major stores and gas stations. The park also has a public catch and release pond, camping areas and bbq pits and covered picnic tables.

This is a nice, steady trail through the wooded tract. Redden State Forest actually has several tracts and several trails. Today, we did the 'Headquarters Tract' and its accompanying trail. Around 5 miles, it was sided by small meadows, one full of milkweed blowing as fairies in the sky -- gorgeous! Lots of birds and bugs to look at. Deer scat, but no sign of the deer.
