"Extraordinary" Although each of the parks in the Delaware State Park system has its own unique features, Fox Point State Park deserves something more than "unique" in its description. Perhaps the best word is "extraordinary." A Window on the River For more than 20 years, the dream of a park on this ribbon of land along the Delaware River has been a source of inspiration as well as frustration for the neighboring communities, now collectively known as Fox Point. One man's vision of a "window on the river" became a rallying point for many northern Delawareans. It is an extraordinary event when dreams turn into reality. And what a window it is! You can stand at any of the park's new overlooks and see all the way to Philadelphia looking north and well beyond the Delaware Memorial Bridge looking south. There just aren't that many easily accessible places in Delaware where such a spectacular view is readily available. But great vistas aren't the only attraction of Fox Point State Park. There are a number of wonderful educational opportunities as well.

This park is well paved and in good shape. The views of the river and boats is a nice to see. Yes, the park is close to the Amtrak and interstate and there is some noise but what do you expect, this isn’t in a national park. The land is a capped dumped site. Good use for land that is basically unusable otherwise.

This little trail is all paved and A very odd location. You have a view of the river and ships coming in which is cool however the other side is the highway. Not very clean but a small paved loop we used to teach our kid on his bike.

Pretty much echo what others have said-weird location, nice view of the river, all paved and a flat weird loop. Probably wouldn’t do it again. I’m new to Delaware and wanted to try some different hiking spots, this is definitely not hiking but it’d be fine if you were just walking around especially with kids. They have little grills and picnic tables too

I enjoy this walk because you can walk or bike along the Delaware river it is a nice walk but is very short and flat.

Nice paved walk along the river. There is no shade along the walkway so I always plan my walks here according to the weather. Today was overcast and breezy which is perfect weather for this park even though it's 87 degrees.

This park has its pluses and minuses. Biggest minus is location - next to the highway and train tracks makes it noisy. Biggest plus is location - stretched right along the Delaware River. Very open with few trees. Major draw, for me, is that frequently big ships pass close by (cruise, container, tugs...) which makes it fun for kids. Also a good place to learn to bike ride as this is not a crowded spot. Yes, sort of a city/industrial location but a nice spot for a winter walk on a sunny day or when you want a change from a woodsy walk.

The trail is paved and in the open sun along the Delaware River. The park is squeezed in between the river, and the Amtrak Northeast Corridor. Both river traffic in the ship channel and rail traffic on the corridor are visible. On a clear day, both the Commodore Barry and Delaware Memorial Bridges are visible in the distance. I can't rate this trail more than a 2 because the howl of tires I-495, just beyond the rails overpowers any sounds of nature.
