Spend a summer day cooling off in the mist of the waterfall or an autumn day hiking or biking the varied trails of the park.

Beautiful waterfall, peaceful trails, easy terrain and clearly marked trails and trail maps.

Great place of adventure. Lot of up n down parts to make the hike a solid workout as well

Not bad for after work. Some sweet single tracks that are unmarked off the main trails.

Easy and mostly flat trails, some elevation change. Good shade coverage and the falls are a lovely sight.

Really enjoyable hike with kids.

Not great and you can hear the highway the whole time.

nice trail, walked our 2 dogs there....good shading, not too hot.

Nice experience

Great hike. Mostly flat but some small ups & downs. Good relaxing stroll with great falls. My son & I hiked the orange (main) trail out to Big Falls and it was gorgeous! When you get to the end of the trail, walk up the road about 300 feet and the trail continues on the right. Falls are right beyong the parking lot & field. They can be accessed even if you don't hike.

I just went on this trail for the first time with my 14y/o son and it was really fun. There are several beautiful views once you reach the western ledge of Mt. Higby. There are some steep areas to navigate and other trails that u can use on the way back to get a different view. I highly recommend this hiking trail!

Had an absolutely beautiful hike here.

Greatly enjoyed this hike. The view was amazing to see

Amazing, non tiring, serene waterfalls. A must visit.

Nice views, good uphill walk. But noisy road traffic.

If this is a top 10 in Connecticut then I’d hate to see what the rest of the hiking trails have to offer. First of all, I’m not so sure that I’d call this moderate as it’s quite easy. Also, what the trail information fails to mention is that the trail overlooks a busy area with loads of roads, etc so you really don’t feel like you’ve gotten out in nature for most of the hike.

Went last fall. Great hike and view!

Nice hike, saw 2 eagles in flight on the cliffs, I would come back again.

Would rate this “easy” over “moderate” as although there are some steep parts, it’s a quicker hike overall. My advice for if you want to see both the little falls and big falls: start off by following the orange trail, and when it splits off follow the direction towards Little Falls. This way you will get to enjoy a more moderate section of trail, and see the little falls first. Then continue across the stream and up the hill, at the top you can once again follow the orange trail to the left or right, go to the right and continue following orange until you get to the Big Falls. Beautiful place overall.

Great trail, I did get lost trying to find the water fall. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would rate this more a moderate than easy. It is an incline all the way up, that if you have bad knees, you start to feel it. Its also a State park, so come summer, a fee Im sure is charged. Paths are a little confusing if you have not been here before. Real nice walk through the woods though.

Mt Higby is one of the best hikes that i have ever done especially because of the scenic views from the top and the hike trial itself. Awesome one...

I like this one because the trail is along the cliffs so you get the feeling of being high up most of the time.

It is a very cold winter day, I will be returning in warmer weather . There was a lot of ice today and the trails weren’t marked that well, went off the trail a bit. Didn’t get too far into the trail but the views we did get to see were nice .

Beautiful place !

Great family hike. 4, 5 and 7 year old. 3.4 miles with dog. Right after snow melt and rain, falls were flowing! Will go again.

Great trail. Not too strenuous.

This was a very enjoyable trail with spectacular views of the rocks and cliffs. Some of the trails do go near the edges of the cliffs but there is an alternate trail right behind most of them a few more feet in. Definitely looking forward to visiting again.
