Great hike on a glorious fall day!!

great trail with awesome overlooks and a unique tower. bring a lunch and sit a the pavilion and soak in the view. parts are overgrown but that made the hike better. why do some people think every trail has to be like a sidewalk and take away stars.

Always a nice hike. Better to do it when not peak foliage season when the entire state walks up.

Actually very well marked with a few key exceptions. An amazing overlook and of course the top/tower as well. We were running out of daylight so actually just went out/back vs doing the full loop. Overall a good hike though.

The yellow trail up was crowded, but the bluff views made it worth it all. The blue trail down had nobody on it, and it was super interesting and far better in my opinion.

Pretty easy. Good to bring the dog. Lots of people in trail. Tower a top was good

glad for the second half of this trail, or would never come back! i enjoy more natural hikes, and the first part was wide, gravelled walkways with an entire school field trip going by :( The downward part of the loop is great, along ridge with spectacular views

Great, easy, clear path, will come back with my kids. Steep climb up to the top of the ridge, but several benches to stop and rest of needed. A couple of nice views along the ridge to the tower. The tower is pretty cool, and they've got a little museum inside. Took to vote path back through the woods, meeting up near the bottom of the path up. Highly recommend this route for a change of scenery. Everything well marked.

Perfect trail for a wee bit of a challenge uphill and panoramic views all along the way.

Nice hike with a great view when you get to the top. The tower was closed on the day we went. The section of the hike that is on the blue trail isn’t used as much and is overgrown in areas.

Beautiful trail! I always take the steeper non-paved trail that goes by the cliffs. It’s a bit more difficult, but worth it for the view. The tower is great too, and I’ve done a little cook out at the grills located further back from the tower (if coming from the trail side); there’s picnic tables and plenty of areas with shade.

horribly overgrown for the first section. small dog had to be picked up because he couldn't push through the overgrowth. almost no markings for about a mile, ended up having to retrace steps multiple times. I made it to the tower and then walked down summit ridge to 185 and walked back to my car to avoid using that god awful trail and having to go back through brush up to my neck. then walked around penwood state park which was lovely.

Steep to begin with but only for a few minutes. It’s a nice easy hike, perfect for the morning. The trails are wide and well kept. I enjoyed this one! Nice views with multiple lookouts. Definitely venture around the Hublein Tower and read about it while you’re there. The history of the place is neat! Beautiful all in all and would recommend to anyone.

My 7 year old and I tackled the yellow trail going up to the tower and the blue trail coming back. The steep, rocky terrain upward leads to many wonderful vantage points to see the surrounding areas. Just awesome! Several places to sit down and catch your breath or drink your water. Once to the top you can take the yellow trail or the unblazed trail to the tower. The tower visitors center provides good history about the family and the tower and grounds. The trip to the tower provides more wonderful views! The blue trail down was a nice hike through the woods over rock terrain, Moss, some mud. We’ll do the loop again!

Rewarding but challenging hike in the beginning. The many lookouts provide some beautiful views. We enjoyed some live music once we reached the tower. All had a fantastic time. Don’t miss this gorgeous hike.

Beautiful trail with some good elevation change. Hiked this with my four and seven year old. Trails well maintained BUT not well marked. Definitely needed a map (which was this app). IF you do follow this map be sure to really zoom in on the cut through trails. My kids were getting tired so I decided to take a shortcut trail which ended up being a VERY steep hill down. So we took the bright and sunny alternate trail which took us down another slightly less steep hill and placed us off the the right trail by a few good yards. Fortunately, I had this app/map with service and was able to find the right trail (Trails going all different directions). Of course worst case scenario follow the sound of the freeway and your good. Lol. It was after really zooming into the map that the words “DANGER STEEP HILL” appeared.
