Great hike. Has a couple of challenging-ish parts. There are some beautiful views. It’s a nice relaxing hike that took about 3.5-4 hours. If in the area, I’d do it again.

This park has stunningly beautiful vistas and trails. It is not for the weak of heart if do the Blue Trail - it is crazy steep but you feel like you've accomplished something when you get to the top. If you stay on the outer edges for the whole park you will find pretty and quiet paths. towards the center of the park it's very well-traveled.

Great place for hiking

this is a sick hike, loved it. the tower was a bit disappointing, imo.

Great beautiful hike with the pup & friends :) happy to see it being kept clean!

Great hike

Unbelievable. Not for the faint of heart when it comes to heights. Petrified of heights but was able to conquer this track. Beautiful views, wildlife and all nature has to offer. Great way to spend Earth Day 2018.

It’s a nice hike on a gravel trail for the family but it was wall to wall people up and down making it less enjoyable. Perhaps try it on a cold and cloudy day.

There's a super difficult scramble in the very beginning, but then it levels out and is not that hard, just a bunch of ups and downs. We had planned to take the blue trail there and then the violet trail back, but the violet trail turned out to be just a simple walk, so we quickly switched back to the blue. Very fun overall, and a nice challenge! It took us 3.5 hours round-trip, with about 30 min of lunch.

Pleasantly challenging — scrambles could be tough if you’re afraid of heights/don’t have much confidence in yourself...definitely worth a try for anyone feeling adventurous! Just be mindful of loose/slippery rocks, as an avid hiker I almost took a tumble a few times!

A pretty awesome trail that my family and I have hiked many times throughout the years.

Fairly gradual hike up an wide, dirt road. We went on one of the first warm days of Spring, and the crowds were unbelievable. The tower at the top felt like a party, with probably 50 people crammed onto the top level. This would make a decent hike on a day with less people, but it wouldn’t be phenomenal.

Enjoyable, I'll try it again in the summer for hopefully better scenery.

One of my favorite trails . I once did it in flip flops ! (Big mistake) does have challenging points but the view is worth it ! Not for everyone and make sure to bring water and proper footwear!

Hiked the tower trail on Sunday- it was VERY icy, but that made it more challenging and fun.

Nice hike with family. Very busy, which is a pro and a con. Great for dogs as there were a bunch of dogs on this trail. Nice views from the tower.

Solid hike, be ready to deal with some rocks if you are going in the winter. Trail relatively well kept and well blazed.

Great place to go for a hike and just the right distance to walk. Bring water and if you have a dog with you bring water for him too, very important.

Well marked trail

Insanely difficult and dangerous. But I’m a complete scaredy cat! If you are not a rock climber full time, don’t do it! Beautiful view at the top, though!!

Beautiful view when you reached the tower!

The trail itself was not a strenuous hike and is very doable for those that are looking for something less intense and short. It isn't very well marked, as we found out to indicate that you are on the correct trail, so so keep an eye on the markers and if possible use an app that tracks routes.

Scenic hike and beautiful views from the top at the tower!!! Great photo opp!

Amazing view at the top, does get a little muddy along the trail if it has rained.

Went up to the Tower and a loop through the blue/orange/red/green/white trails. Leaves aren’t changed yet, so if you’re looking for colors wait a week or two more. Be careful of the fallen leaves obscuring the trail. Keep an eye out for markers if you’re not using AllTrails and GPS.

Great views and a good hike for anyone looking for a challenge.

Great place to check out

beautiful views. would recommend hiking shoes. can do in winter, fall, spring and summer

I've yet to come across another hike that allows for such awesome and ample access to a cliffside scramble. The quarry is certainly the highlight of the blue trail. But the backside of the mountain, facing East, offers some awesome views of New Haven.

The wooded areas on top of the mountain are magical and have their own unique energy which is so inviting and peaceful.

I'm so glad that I live near this wonderful spot.
