relaxing walk around the field

Bit of a hill, great for days that aren’t too humid - great views at be top of the hill! Cute gazebo and benches. Even a few trees to sit under if you wanted to have a picnic!

Loved this easy stroll through a gorgeous meadow!! Came here in search of Bobolinks and I wasn’t disappointed!! Many beautiful wildflowers, songbirds and butterflies dot the terrain.

First the positives. There are some beautiful spots throughout this hike. I saw 3 different species of butterfly and all sorts of wild flowers, apple trees, and grapevine. There are places you can sit and enjoy nature's splendor. Most of the hike is clearly labeled. The negatives. Part of the hike is very rocky, trees are down and there isn't a clear path. I took my mother (who has some slight knee problems) and she had a hard time with this hike. Also unless your dog is an experienced hiker I wouldn't recommend this hike for them.

This is a beautiful little Narnia gem of a nature walk literally 2 minutes from the flagpole. Limited parking available on the street. Imagine walking through a waist high meadow of wild strawberries, wildflowers, butterflies and bees right before you enter what looks to be a little world of enclosed tree canopy, mossy and ivy covered tree trunks with the air filled with bird sounds. Wet and muddy in spots and some pieces overgrown and not cleared of brush and poison ivy which is the only reason i gave it 4 stars. We saw at least three different types of dragonflies and butterflies. Great for bird watching. Easy for even a young young child to navigate.loved it.
